        Taiwan's electricity frequency has reached a new high. According to the latest power supply and demand data of Taipower, this week's power supply shortage crisis, energy policy and other issues in Taiwan have again become the focus of attention from all walks of life. Chiahui Power Corporation, located in Minxiong Township, Chiayi County, which was invested by Asia Cement Corporation, is a natural gas combined cycle power plant. In order to coordinate with Taipower's Dispatching of electricity, in July this year, it spent more than half of the time, especially extending the hours of power generation. The monthly power generation exceeded 185 million kwh.

        President Chen Guangtai of chiahui Power Corporation said that Jiahui continues to provide stable power to Taiwan with low pollution, high efficiency, high quality and high safety power generation technology. In fact, the European Parliament has just passed a proposal of the European Union to support the listing of natural gas as green energy for environmental sustainability. Jiahui is using natural gas with low-carbon characteristics to replace relatively high-carbon coal in the short and medium term, helping Taiwan to accelerate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

        Chiahui Power Corporation has a total installed capacity of 1.21 million kilowatts, accounting for about 3.2% of the total electricity consumption in Taiwan. It is the largest private natural gas power plant in Taiwan, generating 4.8 billion kwh of electricity every year, which can supply about 1 million households. If we calculate the 13.03 million residential users in Taiwan, it means that one household in every 13 households is supplied by Jiahui. Benefit

        The construction process is divided into two major phases. The first phase of the 700000 kW generator set was commercialized in December 2003 and incorporated into the Taipower grid; The second phase of the 510000 kW generator set will be put into commercial operation in July 2021. It is worth mentioning that the end of 2021 coincided with the decommissioning of the No. 1 unit of the No. 2 nuclear power plant, and the power supply capacity was reduced by 985000 kW. The commercial transformation of Jiahui phase II timely filled part of the power gap.

        President Chen Guangtai further explained that the characteristics of natural gas units are environmental protection, low carbon and high efficiency. Jiahui phase II unit adopts the latest model "Ha series gas turbine generator" from GE, with a power generation efficiency of more than 60%, which is far higher than that of coal-fired power plants. According to accounting, Jiahui's natural gas units will generate 0.358 kg of carbon dioxide per kwh in 2021, which is not only lower than the 0.8 kg of coal-fired power plant units, but also lower than the benchmark of 0.424 kg of power carbon emission coefficient published by the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of economic affairs in July this year. If compared with coal-fired power plants with the same unit capacity, Jiahui will reduce carbon emissions by nearly 2 million tons per year, which is equivalent to the carbon adsorption of 180000 trees and 4800 Da'an Forest Park in one year.

        In addition to low-carbon emissions, Jiahui will also carry out 11 hectares of landscape greening inside and outside the plant area without any trees before the construction. It will not only plant litchi trees, maple trees and Abel, but also attract tree frogs, climbing lizards, small grey butterflies and Green Embroidered eyes to inhabit. The ecological pool also uses the cooling water of the power plant. Many Koi swim in it, just like a forest power plant, which also proves that Jiahui is a clean energy and clean power generation, Only in this way can we coexist peacefully with a rich ecology.

        President Chen Guangtai stressed that the development of green energy is bound to become an important key to Taiwan's future economic growth.
