2022 Far Eastern Group Christmas lights "Warmth brings peace. Light up the future"

        The Christmas tree lighting ceremony of the Far Eastern Group in 2022 will be held in Taipei Metro Dunnan Square on November 29 with the theme of "Warmth delivers peace and brightens the future". Nearly 60 representatives of envoys from many countries to Taiwan will be present to light the most dazzling Christmas tree in Taipei together with the Far Eastern Group Douglas Hsu, Mayor Ke Wenzhe of Taipei City, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chief.

        This year, we passed the test of the epidemic together. The Far Eastern Group, taking "Warmth brings peace and brightens the future" as its main axis, erected a 40 foot high "Ya Tung Department Store Christmas Tree" on the Dunnan Square of the Ya Tung Department Store, made of golden orange colored balls and painted glass fairy tale windows, and extended all the way to the Dunnan Green Belt with the light string hanging on the top of the 7th floor, together with the wonderful light show, Let Dunnan Business District be enveloped in the atmosphere of happy holidays.

        The lighting party was first kicked off by the wonderful dance of the mascot "Baby Sun" of the Far Eastern Department Stores, and a popular band was invited to bring classic western songs and familiar Christmas songs. Douglas Hsu said in his speech that, although all countries have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in the past three years, with the easing of the epidemic, people's livelihood consumption has become increasingly active, and the prosperity is expected to gradually recover, I hope you can move forward with confidence and optimism.

        After Mayor Ke Wenzhe arrived, he first congratulated Douglas Hsu on being awarded the "Enterprise Sustainable Lifelong Achievement Award" at the 2022 "Global Sustainability Award (GCSA)" and "Taiwan Sustainability Award (TCSA)" award ceremony, and said that the Taipei Municipal Government has also committed to the goal of "livable and sustainable smart city" in recent years, which has been recognized internationally.

        When delivering a speech, Vice Chief of Tanaka Government especially thanked many international friends for standing up for Taiwan many times, including the recent COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference. In the future, Taiwan will also continue to work with its partners to address the challenges of climate change and make efforts to achieve a sustainable future.
