Far Eastern Memorial Hospital / Jian Jiaqi

The 45th anniversary of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital is a day worth celebrating and an important moment to look back on the past and rebuild consensus. 45 years ago, the founder disregarded external doubts and resolutely established a hospital in Banqiao, hoping to take care of Far Eastern Group colleagues and residents nearby. This journey has not been easy, thanks to the hard work and support of previous deans, colleagues, and partners from all walks of life over the years. I would like to express my special thanks to the dean and every colleague and friend present here. Without everyone, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital would not be where it is today. Challenges of International Competition and Characteristic Positioning
45 years, whether it's long or short. To be honest, the hospital has operated steadily and established a good reputation in recent years, but if we honestly examine ourselves, our pace is not fast. I often have the opportunity to travel overseas. Whenever I meet foreign friends and hear that I run a hospital, I always politely praise them, but then I always ask, 'Are you specializing in anything? Where are you going? What are your plans to do? You have such a great field of people.'? Which direction do you want to develop in the future? What are the next plans? You have so many excellent talents around you. I know our colleagues are not bad, but to be honest, I often can't answer those few questions.
Faced with the question of the international advanced medical system, I understand that there is still significant room for improvement in our positioning in areas of expertise, breakthroughs in innovative medical technologies, and clear future plans. This is not a denial of everyone's efforts, but a reminder that the world's healthcare is advancing rapidly, and we cannot be satisfied with the status quo alone.
Human resources are the core of future development
After the 45th anniversary, we still have a lot to do. Some problems can be solved with money, but most problems must be solved by 'people'. Ultimately, funding can only solve a part of the problem. Whether we can go more stable and further in the future depends on the development, cultivation, and human resource management of talents. So, our most important task next is to invest in 'people' - talent cultivation, continuous education and training, and a complete human resources system. This cannot be achieved simply by shouting slogans, it requires the establishment of a systematic mechanism, the concentration of resources, and full investment in order to truly see results.
Accelerating the development of medical technology and personalized healthcare needs
Global medical technology and information technology are advancing rapidly, coupled with the rapid transformation of patient-centered personalized medicine. Medical services ultimately face every patient, and the needs and expectations of patients change very quickly. Our responsibility is to see further and go faster. Only by accelerating our pace, continuous investment, and continuous promotion of reforms can we truly keep up with the trend of this era.
Strategic focus on the development direction of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital
As a private hospital, we do not have government support and rely on ourselves for everything. This is both a challenge and an opportunity: because we have greater operational flexibility, we can independently decide our direction and let go to do what we want to do. But precisely because of this, it is even more necessary to clearly position the route that the hospital needs to take and focus on the areas of expertise that need to be developed.
At the same time, from the perspective of enterprise management, hospitals also need multi-level and multi grouping development, because it is not easy for a hospital to fight alone. If it can share resources and complement advantages with the group's related enterprises, it can exert the power of synergy.
Continuously moving forward, creating the next 45 years
Finally, I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and remind everyone not to stop here. Please continue to work hard and jointly embrace the challenges and opportunities of the medical environment, so that Far Eastern Memorial Hospital can take a clearer direction and create better results. I also hope that all sectors will continue to provide support. Thank you.
