Yuan Ze University and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital teamed up to establish a Department of Nursing to strengthen Collaboration between industry and school

        Yuan Ze University has been approved by the Ministry of Education to establish a Department of Nursing. Starting from the second half of 2024, the first edition will enroll 45 students. At the same time, it will strengthen industry academic exchanges with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, combine digital cloud courses, cultivate students' cloud technology and nursing expertise, and jointly promote smart medical innovation to improve overall medical quality.

        Principal Liao Qingrong stated that Yuan Ze University and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital have made many remarkable breakthroughs since signing an academic cooperation agreement in 2016; In 2020, we jointly established the sixth college of the school, the "Medical College", offering innovative design courses in clinical applications such as cell biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and medical engineering. In addition to partnering with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Yuan Ze University has also partnered with world-renowned technology giants such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon since 2022 to jointly promote digital cloud based courses. Among them, Microsoft's online learning resource "MS Learn" can assist in planning learning paths, while the "Cloud Talent Cradle Program" partnered with Google cultivates students' cloud technology and digital marketing majors.

        Yuan Ze University has been approved by the Ministry of Education this year to establish a Department of Nursing, which is an important milestone. The only medical center in New Taipei, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, will become the school's main teaching hospital. By integrating advanced teaching methods and internship opportunities, it will provide comprehensive assistance from nursing faculty, equipment, internships, and other aspects to promote the digital transformation of medical services.

        In order to provide a more convenient learning environment, Yuan Ze University not only plans a complete study space for the nursing department at the school headquarters, but also further sets up the Yuan Ze University New Taipei Branch Medical College on the 2.5 hectares of cultural and educational land in Linkou Wenhua Second Road. In the first phase, priority will be given to nursing homes and student dormitories, and a 5G network will be established throughout the area, along with service commercial facilities such as restaurants and shops, to construct a micro living circle. The second phase of development will incorporate campus construction such as tiered lecture halls and conference centers as incubation bases for intelligent nursing talents. At present, the construction license has been obtained and approved for commencement. It is expected to be put into operation and preliminary operation before March 2025.
