Yuan Ze University's R&D of "Road JUDGER" to create a safe and courteous road environment

        After the government imposed fines on drivers who did not give priority to pedestrians, the safety of pedestrians has gradually been taken seriously. Considering the current traffic safety measures and the lack of a comprehensive evaluation system for driving behavior, teachers and students from the Department of Information Technology at Yuan Ze University have developed the "READ JUDGER" system using instruments such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and cameras, combined with image recognition and deep learning technology. The system integrates functions such as real-time speed detection, violation detection, and adaptation to different weather conditions, providing drivers with a tool to evaluate driving safety. It won first place in the Information Application Group and third place in the AIoT Intelligent Field and ESG Application Excellence Group at the 28th College Information Application Service Innovation Competition. The future plan is to combine it with driving recorders to create a safer driving environment.
