Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, in collaboration with U Caf é medical support coffee truck, creates a generation of AIDS patients without discrimination and fear

        In response to International Nurses Day, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital joined hands with the Taiwan AIDS Society and the Taiwan AIDS Nursing Society on May 3 to participate in the "U Caf é Medical Assistance Coffee Car Tour", inviting medical staff to drink coffee and hoping to create a more friendly society for AIDS patients. The U caf é aid coffee truck visited 23 highly trusted hospitals throughout Taipei, Central and South China, expressing gratitude to medical staff on behalf of infected individuals through coffee cups printed with words of gratitude. It attracted over a hundred medical staff to participate in the grand event and wrote encouragement for infected individuals.

        In recent years, new HIV infected individuals have shown a trend towards younger age groups. In addition to strengthening prevention and control measures, Dr. Chiu and Dean Kuanming have also urged the public to have a basic understanding of HIV infection and to understand and support patients. Far Eastern Memorial Hospital has established a "Creating AIDS Friendly Medical Services Working Group" and hopes to create a society without discrimination and fear with the public through this action. Since 2009, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital has been designated as a hospital for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. It is tracked and provided with appropriate antiviral treatment by infectious disease specialists, while also providing one-on-one assistance to infected individuals through AIDS case managers and providing appropriate health education consultation and care services.
