Far EasTone Telecommunications releases Taiwan's first third-party verified 'Supply Chain Sustainability Report'
Far EasTone Telecommunications / Zhu Zhengting
On August 26th, Far EasTone Telecommunication released the first third-party verified "Supply Chain Sustainability Report" in Taiwan, and is also the only company in Taiwan (second only to electronics giant Hon Hai Group) to release this report, demonstrating Far EasTone Telecommunication's determination to build a sustainable supply chain; At the same time, a "Recycled Economy Sharing Platform" has recently been launched to work with suppliers towards net zero emissions. By giving retired telecommunications equipment new life and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we plan to reduce emissions by 42% by 2030.
Building a sustainable supply chain is an important part of Far EasTone Telecommunication's net zero goal practice. In addition to making "supply chain sustainable management" the core of its procurement strategy, it also integrates sustainable performance KPIs into the procurement team's goals and constructs a forward-looking sustainable procurement system. The report integrates all important stakeholders' concerns through five ESG pillars: "C (Circular Economic Recycled Economy)", "A (Awareness of Sustainable Culture and Awareness)", "R (Risk Management and Risk Control)", "E (Empowering Sustainable Empowerment)", and "D (De carbonization Net Zero Carbon Reduction)".
Far EasTone Telecommunication aims to reshape a circular and resilient supply chain by breaking the linear model of "procurement, manufacturing, and disposal". We also look forward to driving innovative thinking among upstream and downstream value chain partners through the Recycled Economy platform.
