Far EasTone Telecommunication assists Hualien, Keelung, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung in safeguarding urban safety

        Far EasTone Telecommunications has been deeply involved in Hualien for 20 years. On May 5th, Mayor Wei Jiayan of Hualien City and Senior Executive Vice President Zhao Yinan of Far EasTone Telecommunications signed the "Mutual Support Agreement for Disaster Prevention and Rescue", becoming the first telecommunications operator in Taiwan to sign this agreement with the Hualien City Office. In the event of a major disaster in Hualien, Far EasTone Telecommunications will activate the store care service station mechanism to provide instant communication support and livelihood material assistance, making the store a timely safe haven for the community.

        In order to improve traffic safety, Far EasTone Telecommunication has teamed up with the Keelung City Government's Transportation Department to examine the accident patterns at the top 20 most prone to accidents at unmarked intersections in the area. A "smart intersection protection system" has been established for accident locations and areas with insufficient visibility, reminding drivers to stop at intersections and implement the concept of paying attention to the condition of incoming and preceding vehicles and slowing down to reduce the risk of accidents.

        In addition, the government of Hsinchu City held the "Hsinchu City Public Parking Lot Charging Station Opening Ceremony" on May 2. This time, 8 parking lots for citizens in the East, North, and Xiangshan districts were opened, with a total of 73 fast and slow charging stations. Far EasTone Telecommunications assisted in the construction and maintenance. The goal is to build 132 slow charging stations for electric small buses, 136 fast charging stations for fast charging, and 24 charging stations for large buses by the end of 2025, providing MIT with high-quality and high-density public fast charging stations. In the future, it is expected to help Hsinchu City reduce carbon emissions by about 2400 tons per year and create a green technology city.

        In response to Taiwan's digital development policy, Far EasTone Telecommunication showcased 5G remote diagnosis, treatment, and healthcare services to a delegation from the Ministry of Digital Development on May 6th at the Kaohsiung Maolin Public Sunshine Center, the first indigenous health center in Taiwan.
