Yuan Ze University signs MOU with top American universities to jointly promote dual degree and exchange programs

        Yuan Ze University 、 On July 30th, the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) signed an academic cooperation memorandum on behalf of President Liao Qingrong and President Raj Echambadi, symbolizing the establishment of a long-term and stable partnership between the two parties. In the future, the two universities will cooperate in academic research, course co teaching, student exchange, and dual degree programs, and deepen the link between education and research through two-way exchanges between teachers and students, joint research programs, cultural exploration activities, and other forms; In addition, specific cooperation models will also be planned, such as 2+2 bachelor's degree programs and 1+1 master's degree programs, providing students with more diverse overseas learning channels.

        IIT is one of the top higher education institutions in the United States, and has recently gained media attention for having the highest proportion of international students among all universities in the country. It has also become the first American university to be approved to establish a campus in India, demonstrating outstanding international perspectives and global layout capabilities.

        To ensure the smooth progress of cooperation, the two schools will assign dedicated units to coordinate and promote various cooperation matters, and regularly review and report on the implementation results. In terms of student exchange, short-term training will be the main focus, and admission standards, credit deductions, tuition fees, and other details will be formulated based on mutual agreement; Teacher exchanges will focus on teaching and research, strengthening bilateral academic interaction and knowledge sharing.

        President Liao Qingrong stated that Yuan Ze University has long been committed to promoting internationalization by establishing strategic alliances with top overseas universities and continuously deepening its global cooperation network. This collaboration with IIT is not only an important milestone in academic resource sharing, but also will create a broader international stage for students and teachers.

        Starting from 2023, Yuan Ze University will launch the "Thousand Talents Program" to significantly enhance students' overseas learning opportunities through winter and summer courses, overseas study camps, exchange programs, and dual degree programs. The project is supported by the foundation of Mr. Xu Yuan Ze University, and is combined with the Ministry of Education's "Study Sea Plan" scholarship to encourage students to study courses and participate in internships at sister schools or partner institutions overseas, broaden their international horizons, and strengthen their career competitiveness.

        The signing of this memorandum of cooperation not only lays a solid foundation for the cooperation between the two universities, but also demonstrates Yuan Ze University's determination to deepen international education and cultivate globally competitive talents. In the future, we will continue to expand our cooperation with high-quality universities around the world, create diverse and rich overseas learning and research platforms, and enhance the international mobility and academic influence of teachers and students.

        It is worth mentioning that this collaboration was facilitated by Xu Guoan, an IIT alumnus and current Far Eastern Group Innovation Director. Coincidentally, President Liao Qingrong is also an IIT alumnus. The deep friendship between the two sides has established a solid network and trust foundation for the cooperation between the two schools.
