Far Eastern New Century Corporation has obtained EN 15343 certification, becoming Taiwan's first company to pass the EU recycling plastic standard

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation has recently been awarded a certification by SGS, a Taiwanese inspection technology company, based on the European Union's EN 15343:2007 standard. It is the first enterprise in Taiwan to obtain this certification, demonstrating its leading position and technological strength in the field of sustainable material development and plastic recycling.

        EN 15343:2007 is an important standard developed by the European Union for the recycling of plastics, covering traceability of recycling sources, verification methods for the proportion of recycled materials, and quality and management system requirements for the overall recycling process. This verification can serve as an environmental passport for enterprises exporting to the European market, and is also a representative proof of implementing ESG and supporting the development of recycled economy.

        In recognition of Far Eastern New Century Corporation's investment and achievements in sustainability development, SGS Vice President Huang Jinhui personally awarded the certificate on July 10th, and Far Eastern New Century Corporation Vice President Peng Qingzu accepted the certificate on behalf of Far Eastern New Century Corporation, demonstrating that the company's high standard quality and traceability capabilities in producing recycled plastic products have been highly recognized by the SGS international system.

        The product that has been validated by EN 15343 this time is food contact grade recycled PET (rPET) particles, and the process includes raw material sorting, cleaning, granulation, and solid-phase polymerization for self recycling bottle materials. The overall supply chain is constructed by Far Eastern New Century Corporation's Solid State Polymerization Division based on the EN 15343 standard to establish a complete traceability system. Through SGS audits and on-site verification in accordance with European standards, it has been proven that the content and source of the company's 100% recycled plastics are traceable and transparent.

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation stated that this EN 15343 verification signifies that the company's rPET products have met the quality and traceability requirements of the international market, and can provide proof of exemption for European customers under the plastic tax system. This not only enhances the company's competitiveness, but also further strengthens Far Eastern New Century Corporation's sustainable partnership with global brands.
