Far EasTone Telecommunication strengthens rural areas' resilience, care for seniors and students

        Extreme weather events are frequent, and energy resilience has become a key issue for social security. To enhance the disaster prevention capabilities of rural areas, Far EasTone Telecommunication Foundation and Far EasTone Telecommunication supplier partners have jointly formed the "Hand in Hand Sustainable Vanguard" to establish a disaster prevention microgrid at Nan'ao Elementary School in Yilan County. A donation ceremony will be held on December 3, 2025 to ensure uninterrupted emergency power supply.

        With the increase of the elderly population, it is even more important to pay attention to the mental health of the elderly. Since July, Far EasTone Telecommunication volunteer team and planners from the "Sai Qin Care Foundation" have been visiting the "Wu Ri Co living House", care institutions, and single elderly residences in Taichung City, accompanying the elderly to chat about daily life and listen to life stories. In response to the "Taiwan Quality Life Association" public welfare action, the "Materials Continues, Let Love Far EasTone Telecommunication" activity was held before the Double Ninth Festival, calling on colleagues to donate livelihood materials.

        In addition, Far EasTone Telecommunication has partnered with the ESG Global Citizen Digital Governance Foundation (ESGWD) to expand the "Million Students: Global Citizen Literacy Education Program". Through two major activities, the "Good Action Card" and the "Good Story House", Far EasTone Telecommunication encourages students to start from small things around them and create a positive atmosphere. This year, 11 primary schools in Taiwan participated with over 2300 people, successfully leading children to complete up to 80000 heartwarming deeds.
