Far EasTone Telecommunication's 5G remote diagnosis and cloud based HIS have been internationally validated

        Far EasTone Telecommunication's independently developed 5G remote diagnosis and treatment platform and cloud based medical information system (Cloud HIS) have been awarded the first "ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)" certificate by BSI for Taiwan's telecommunications industry. This represents that these two services have identified relevant risks, established contingency plans, and have the ability to ensure the continuous operation and rapid recovery of critical businesses in the face of emergencies.

        Chee Ching President stated that Far EasTone Telecommunication's smart healthcare solution, starting with 5G remote diagnosis and treatment in rural areas, has spread to 15 counties, 59 townships, and 22 hospitals, serving over 75000 people. It has also been extended to areas such as 5G ambulances, in home healthcare, long-term care, and health consultations; Cloud HIS connects diagnosis and treatment platforms, Health+App, and assists grassroots clinics in integrating physical and virtual health insurance cards, FHIR cloud medical information exchange, video clinics, online payments, and other functions. Nearly 300 medical institutions have applied to join, and more than 520 virtual clinics have been opened, not only making medical resources no distance, but also driving the digital transformation of the medical industry.

        BSI (British Standards Institution) is a key founding member of the ISO organization and a leading organization for global standard setting and validation. BSI Northeast Asia Director President Xie Junhao stated that with the rapid development of 5G applications and digital healthcare, medical services highly rely on stable and resilient digital infrastructure. In the face of emergencies, how to ensure that critical medical services are not interrupted has become a core issue of industry concern. Far EasTone Telecommunication has passed ISO 22301 certification, demonstrating its maturity in operational continuity management, risk identification, and adaptability. It also sets an important benchmark for Taiwan's telecommunications and smart healthcare industries, further strengthening the reliability of medical services and public trust.
