Yuan Ze University wins second place in the Private School Large Group at the Citizen Award of "Tianxia"

        Yuan Ze University participated in the 2026 Common Wealth Magazine University Citizen Award and won second place in the private general large university category. At the same time, it was selected for the "University President Performance Mutual Evaluation Survey List" and received recognition for its performance in social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and teaching influence. President Liao Qingrong stated that Yuan Ze University implements the concept of sustainability into its system, integrates it into daily operations, and becomes a part of campus culture. This award is not only a result of accumulation, but also a reminder of the university's role in cultivating actors who can respond to the future.

        In terms of teaching, over 90% of Yuan Ze University's courses correspond to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and through cross departmental integration and teacher community operation, Sustainability Development is transformed into core competencies that can be learned and practiced, strengthening students' cross disciplinary learning and practical abilities. In terms of campus governance and environmental sustainability, the school has introduced the ISO 50001 energy management system and ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory mechanism, established an energy and carbon emission management framework, and continuously promoted energy-saving equipment replacement and energy efficiency improvement plans to reduce overall energy consumption and carbon emissions.

        In addition, Yuan Ze University has also enhanced its support measures for campus members, including improving the physical and mental health and career development mechanisms of faculty and staff, optimizing on campus communication, and strengthening administrative and life support for foreign teachers and students, promoting cultural exchange. For economically disadvantaged students, the impact of economic factors on their learning process can be reduced through scholarships and learning assistance.

        In terms of social participation, the university has been investing in Taoyuan's local development through the University Social Responsibility (USR) program, combining cultural, industrial, and community needs to promote local innovation, and introducing artificial intelligence (AI) applications to strengthen the connection between learning and practical fields.

        This time, Yuan Ze University was also included in the list of peer evaluation surveys on the performance of school principals, reflecting its stable promotion of school governance and development strategies, and receiving recognition from peers in higher education.
