Yuan Ze University ranks among the top 200 universities in the 2026 Times Asia University Rankings

        On April 23, The Times Higher Education (THE) in the UK released the 2026 Asia University Rankings. Yuan Ze University, with its robust teaching quality, research energy and academic influence, internationalization level, and industrial chain strength, ranks 176th in Asia, demonstrating the international competitiveness of private universities.

        Principal Liao Qingrong stated that rankings are not just numbers, but also concrete results of long-term educational direction and overall investment. In recent years, Yuan Ze University has taken "AI x semiconductor x cross domain x bilingual" as its core axis, comprehensively promoting the transformation of teaching and research, creating a flexible learning environment centered on student learning, and committed to cultivating key talents for the future.

        As early as 2020, Yuan Ze University, with the support of Far Eastern Group, established the "Artificial Intelligence Cross Domain Innovation Application Center" and built a high-performance computing platform, becoming one of NVIDIA's partner schools in Taiwan; Recently, we have partnered with Taiwan AI Academy (AIA) to establish an AI talent regional certification center.

        In response to the wave of generative AI, Yuan Ze University has included "AI Programming Language and Logical Thinking" as a compulsory course for freshmen since the 115th academic year, becoming one of the few AI literacy universities in Taiwan with significant indicators. Unlike a single department orientation, Yuan Ze University integrates across colleges to enable students in fields such as engineering, management, humanities, social sciences, and design to deeply integrate AI tools with professional applications, cultivating their ability to collaborate with AI.

        Liao Qingrong pointed out that in the cultivation of semiconductor talents, Yuan Ze University has a long-term cooperation with TSMC to jointly promote multiple semiconductor professional courses and connect internship and employment opportunities, allowing the learning process to smoothly align with career development. Yuan Ze University has launched the construction of the "Semiconductor Technology Building" this year, integrating teaching experiments, research, and collaboration between industry and school spaces. At the same time, a university level semiconductor research center has been established, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as advanced processes, material analysis, and AI process applications.

        In addition, in response to the diverse aspirations of students and industry demands, Yuan Ze University has been offering a "Bachelor's degree" program since the 115th academic year, covering four key areas of "Artificial Intelligence", "Semiconductors", "Innovation and Creativity", and "Sustainability Development", and providing highly flexible cross disciplinary courses and degree design mechanisms. In terms of internationalization, Yuan Ze University has been deeply involved in bilingual teaching for over 20 years. Currently, foreign students come from more than 50 countries, and the proportion of foreign students and full-time foreign teachers exceeds 10%. Through various colleges' English bachelor's programs and English taught (EMI) courses, combined with overseas training and internship opportunities, local students and foreign students naturally learn together, cultivating cross-cultural communication skills.
