Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection, together with its subsidiary Far Eastern International Thailand Limited (hereinafter referred to as Far Eastern Thailand), has partnered with the BGSR Joint Venture Group in Thailand to create the M-Flow multi lane free flow electronic toll collection system for the M81 intercity highway (Bangye to Bebe province) in Thailand. The system has recently been put into operation, symbolizing the formal formation of the "one-day living circle" from Bangkok to Bebe province, and is also a concrete practice of ETC Taiwan team successfully assisting Thailand and promoting the highway to enter a new milestone in digital transformation.M81 officially launched: AI recognition combined with diversified payments, reducing one-way travel time to 48 minutes
Yuantuotai is not only responsible for the design, installation, and implementation of the entire toll collection system and traffic control center (TOC), but also deeply integrates AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to construct a data-driven intelligent maintenance and operation decision-making platform. In the future, it will have the flexibility to expand traffic management applications such as dynamic weighing scales. Faced with the challenge of complex vehicle models, license plate text, and colors in Thailand, the Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection team uses advanced AI image recognition (ALPR) technology to accurately identify and combine multiple digital payment tools, allowing passersby to enjoy the seamless experience brought by M-Flow. According to statistics, after the full opening of M81, the single trip from Bangkok to Bukit Bintang has been significantly reduced from nearly 2 hours to 48 minutes, and the daily traffic volume on weekends has reached 55000 vehicles, significantly improving the tourism competitiveness and logistics operation efficiency of the western region of Thailand.
M6 Stable Promotion: Connecting the Northeast Main Road of Thailand, Expected to be fully operational by 2028
In addition to the official operation of M81, the Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection team is also responsible for the establishment of the electronic toll collection system for the M6 highway (Bangbayin Nakhon Ratchasima). This highway is a key passage connecting Bangkok with the northeast and Mekong region, and is expected to be fully opened and operational by 2028.
M9 M-Flow achievements: Green transportation creates 7 times social benefits
The Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection team has been assisting in the construction of Thailand's M9 expressway and maintaining the M-Flow system since 2022, as well as providing guidance on portal design and subsequent operations. According to the Department of Highways (DOH) of Thailand, it saves 3.33 million hours of travel time for pedestrians every year and creates a benefit cost ratio of up to 6.94, which means that for every NTD 1 invested, it creates nearly 7 times the social benefits.
