Far EasTone Telecommunications has been selected as a constant stock in the Taiwan Sustainability Index for 9 consecutive years

        Far EasTone Telecommunication's sustainable performance continues to receive recognition from authoritative institutions both domestically and internationally. After ranking first in the global telecommunications industry rating of the Dow Jones Leading Index (DJBIC) for three consecutive years, it has not only been included in the latest constant stock list of the Taiwan Index Company (TIP)'s "Taiwan Sustainability Index" for the 9th time, but also received the highest rating of "AAA" in the "TIP Taiwan Sustainability Evaluation", ranking in the top 5% of 1895 publicly owned entities in Taiwan, demonstrating its leading position.

        Chee Ching President stated that this award demonstrates Far EasTone Telecommunication's long-term optimization of systems and improvement of sustainable governance foundations, which have been recognized by professional institutions. The company will continue to integrate sustainable thinking into corporate decision-making, and combine the core advantages of AI, 5G, and information communication to strengthen the overall management mechanism from governance to operation. At the same time, it will work together with value chain partners to expand its sustainable influence and create long-term benefits for the industry and society.

        The "Taiwan Sustainability Index" is jointly compiled by Taiwan Index Company and FTSE Russell. It is the first investment oriented ESG index in Taiwan to fully include environmental (E), social (S), and corporate governance (G) aspects. The selection covers 14 major themes and over 300 indicators, providing a systematic comprehensive evaluation of listed companies. It is also an investment reference indicator for multiple ESG funds and institutional investors in Taiwan. Far EasTone Telecommunication has been consistently selected since the launch of the index, demonstrating robust performance in sustainable strategies, institutional establishment, and implementation outcomes. In addition to the "Taiwan Sustainability Index", Taiwan index companies simultaneously released the results of the "TIP Taiwan Sustainability Evaluation" in June. Only 95 companies, including Far EasTone Telecommunications, received the highest rating of "AAA", with strict rating thresholds, accounting for only about 5%.

        In terms of the environment, Far EasTone Telecommunication deepens its low-carbon transformation and sustainable resource management, including issuing Taiwan's first "green bond" for the telecommunications industry, and gradually increasing the proportion of renewable energy use through self built solar power plants and long-term procurement of green electricity; Simultaneously introducing an internal carbon pricing system and incorporating carbon reduction responsibilities into operational decisions. The goal is to achieve 100% use of renewable energy in all IDC (Network Data Centers), offices, and stores in Taiwan by 2030, and to achieve net zero emissions for the entire company by 2048.

        In terms of water resource management, Far EasTone Telecommunication is the first in the industry to introduce the ISO 46001 Water Efficiency Management System and establish the Water Efficiency Index (WUE). Through data analysis, it can grasp the electricity and water efficiency of data centers. In addition, by combining cooling water recovery, reuse of reclaimed water, and smart water meter monitoring, it constructs a circular water use model to improve the resource utilization efficiency and operational resilience of data centers and operational sites.

        In terms of society and governance, Far EasTone Telecommunication links sustainable KPIs with executive performance and reward systems, and gradually shapes the internal ESG culture of the company through the participation of all employees in the "sustainable incentive mechanism". At the same time, actively investing in key issues such as anti fraud, digital inclusion, and rural areas healthcare, combined with 5G remote diagnosis and treatment platforms and AI anti fraud applications, transforming telecommunications core capabilities into concrete social value, and continuously expanding sustainable influence.

        In addition to being selected as a constant stock in the "Taiwan Sustainability Index" for consecutive years, Far EasTone Telecommunications has also been selected as a constant stock in the "Dow Jones Leading Index" (DJBIC), "World Index", and "Emerging Markets Index", ranking first in the global telecommunications industry in both indices. It has also topped the most competitive "World Index" global telecommunications industry for three consecutive years. In addition, Far EasTone Telecommunication has also been ranked in the top 5% of Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation's "Corporate Governance Evaluation" for 12 consecutive years, making it one of the few companies in Taiwan to achieve this achievement, demonstrating its robust and excellent sustainable governance capabilities.
