Since 2004, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital has held regular organ donation memorial activities on “Being Grateful Festival” to let the family members of organ donors and recipients join in commemorating the great love of organ donors. This year, the theme of “Being Grateful Festival” is "Love has always existed ". On May 18, Vice-President Zheng Guoxiang and Vice-President Chen Yun led the medical team to gather with the recipients to express their deepest yearning and gratitude to the organ donors. More than 200 family members and recipients of organ donors participated in the event. Family members were reluctant to say goodbye to donors, but they reminded recipients to cherish their lives and keep precious organs alive. In the past 19 years, 55 cases of heart transplantation, 92 cases of liver transplantation, 17 cases of kidney transplantation, 23 cases of small intestine transplantation and 161 cases of corneal transplantation have been completed in the Far Eastern Memorial Hospital
