New System of Rent Subsidy for Single Youth and Marriage and Childbearing Families
Far Eastern New Century Corporation / Wang Shihan
Faced with the high housing prices in Taiwan, many young people not only can not afford to buy a house, but also have to spend nearly half a month's salary on rent, which leads to social problems such as not daring to marry, not daring to live and so on. In order to implement housing justice, the Executive Yuan approved in June this year the pilot scheme of the Ministry of the Interior for assisting singles and encouraging marriage and childbearing rent subsidy, which was relaxed to less than 2.5 times the minimum living expenses of the current standard of housing rent subsidy and greatly reduced the standard.
1. Subsidies and conditions:
1. Single youth (including those who are employed and rented in cities (counties) where the rental office and household registration are not under the same municipality directly under the Central Government):
Unmarried, divorced or widowed persons aged 20 to 40 with an average monthly income less than 2.5 times the minimum subsistence allowance (low-income household review criteria) and without their own residence.
2. Newly married and child-bearing families:
The average monthly income per person is less than 2.5 times the minimum living expenses, and the families without their own houses are newly married or have minor children (including fetuses) within two years.
II. Schedule of Rent Subsidies
President Su Zhengchang of the Executive Yuan said that "the purpose of this case is to help young people dare to marry, wish to live and enjoy themselves". The application will be accepted in September this year and the fees will be allotted in November. It is expected that a trial run of one year will be conducted to help about 24,000 single young people, newly married and child-bearing families to reduce the rental burden. Details can be obtained.
