Yu Chang gets prepared for future industrial changes with the characteristic of being practical.

        In the 27 years of teaching at Yu-Chang Technical Commercial Vocational High School, I often wonder, what do the students sitting in the classroom want? Do they have a dream for the future? Are there any plans? Three years of higher vocational education from 16 to 18, children, what kind of future do you want to make for yourselves? What kind of future can school give to our children?

        

        This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of Yu-Chang Technical Commercial Vocational High School. The number of students was about 100 altogether in the school at the early stage, and it once has increased to nearly 5000. Over the years, graduates have devoted themselves to different fields of work, and they have always performed well in every field. They have made outstanding achievements in both further education and employment, and thus won the recognition of students and parents.

        

        Yu-Chang Technical Commercial Vocational High School is a technical high school, which covers four departments, including the department of electrical and electronics, department of business management, department of catering management, department of designing and care and service department(enrollment started in 109 academic year). It mainly cultivates technical talents of each department, hoping that every student can own the ability, and then keep a foothold in the society.

        Since the 108 academic year, the new syllabus has been officially implemented, providing multiple optional courses for students of the whole schoo, so that students can find their own direction through multiple learning. Yu Chang set up water and electricity special class, household appliance maintenance course and network installation in the department of electrical and electronics, strengthened practical operation, assisted students to obtain class B and class C water and electricity licenses and network installation licenses, and planned to set up a water and electricity license examination hall. On the other hand, we integrated department of business management with department of designing, added the elements of multi-media, live broadcast and electronic sports, so that management is no longer just management, design is no longer just design. Combining creative fashion with management and marketing creates business opportunities.

        

        In the practical training courses of department of catering management, Yu Chang also introduces co-teaching of teachers and the practitioners to deepen the combination with the market and improve the sensitivity of students to the market. In the third grade, it conducts modular class-division teaching, adds Chinese (rice) noodle courses, trains students to take examinations and take part in competitions. At the same time, we plans to build a certificate examination hall for Chinese (rice) noodle, so that graduates can become hot T-type talents with many certificates.

        Since 1993, Taiwan has entered the "aging society". In 2018, it has entered the "aged society". It is expected that in 2025, it will become a "super aged society". At that time, there will be about 4.73 million old people, which means that one in five is an old person. In response to the huge shortage of future nursing assistants, Yu Chang set up the care and service department in 109 academic year and planned to work with the Oriental Institute of Technology and the Far Eastern Memorial Hospital of Far Eastern Group to jointly train qualified caregivers.

        

        In order to let students like to come to school and identify with the school, Yu Chang is not only proficient in curriculum planning, extracurricular activities are also the key programs. Students can choose a variety of clubs online and enjoy their youth. This year marks the 70th anniversary of Far Eastern Group and the 50th anniversary of Yu Chang, the “journey of caring for the weak and tracing origins” for the Grade Two students was specially held. In addition, the school has also promoted international education travel, the second generation of new residents plan for three consecutive years, and even received Japanese and Korean college students to visit the school and international exchange students to attend classes in the school. Meanwhile, it has also cooperated with New Taipei Rotary round table in overseas internships in Huizhou, Guangdong, Shanghai and Philippines to expand their international horizons, and it integrates rich and solid literacy courses into extracurricular activities so that students can be handy in the society.

        

        In the face of the rapid changes in the future industry, how to walk in the front of the trend, establishing cross domain talent cultivation system, cultivating students' practical ability and reducing the gap between learning and application are the important tasks for the technical vocational schools. In the severe situation of sub-replacement fertility, Yu-Chang Technical Commercial Vocational High School is still willing to invest millions of money to update the equipment and field, construct multiple courses, and strengthen the practical operation. It is also hoped that students can cultivate stable strength with a serious and responsible attitude, and achieve the goal of self-realization with their solid skills and quality.
