Pacific SOGO Department Store volunteers hold Wanli beach cleaning activity

        On December 4, the Pacific SOGO Department Store Volunteer Club, led by its president, vice president Yang Zhengxian, and more than 20 colleagues, went to the adopted new Taipei wanliding Club Beach to clear hundreds of kilograms of marine waste, including treasure bottles, bottle caps, fishing nets, plastic bags, etc., and took ICC International beach cleaning action to record marine waste to assist public departments and environmental protection groups Non profit organizations analyze the composition of marine waste to make beach cleaning more "sustainable" and "environmental".

        Since 2017, Pacific SOGO Department Store volunteers have been going to different sea areas for beach cleaning every year to step up the history of beach cleaning of SOGO step by step! Since 2021, we have adopted a special beach cleaning lot. With the demand of "the sea should be cleaner", we go once a quarter to calculate the quantity of sea waste and the total weight of waste one by one to quantify the results of beach cleaning; And lead colleagues to understand the composition of marine wastes and promote the concept of source reduction and one-time use reduction.
