Celebrate the 73rd anniversary -- Far Eastern Group shared the honor

        October 20 is the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Far Eastern Group in Taiwan. Over the years, the Group has extended its tentacles to the Americas, Asia and Africa, with a vision of basing itself on Taiwan and looking at the world, and its business has spread across ten major industries. On this important day, let's look back on the past year (September 2021~August 2022), which new forces have joined, important milestones, touching public good deeds, and the glorious deeds of Far Easterner.

        September 2021

        ● HR Asia, an authoritative human resources publication in Asia, announced the "Asia's Best Enterprise Employer Award in 2021". Seven enterprises, including Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Asia Cement Corporation, Far Eastern International Bank, U-Ming Marine Transport, Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls, Air Liquid Far Eastern and Nextlink Technology, were recognized.

        ● 2021 The "AREA Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards" was announced, and the retail industry of Far Eastern Group won six awards at one stroke. Among them, Far Eastern Department Stores won the "Green Leadership Award" and the "Social Welfare Development Award", and FE SOGO Department stores won the "Human Investment Award" and the "Health Promotion Award", Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls won the "Green Leadership Award" and the "Health Promotion Award".         ● FE SOGO Department stores have dominated the "Taipei Labor Safety Award" for nine times, and won the triple recognition of "Excellent Unit", "Excellent Personnel" and "Big Boss".

        ● Harvard Business Review awarded the 2021 Digital Transformation Innovation Award, and Far EasTone Telecommunications won the first Digital Transformation Leader Award; Far Eastern International Bank Bankee Community Bank won the "Model Innovation Business Award".

        ● Yuan Ze University and Asia Eastern University of science and technology were awarded the "Future Science and Technology Award". The former is the private university that won the most awards this year, and the latter is the only private university that won this year.

        ● Tainan Far Eastern Department Stores won the two awards of "Excellent Unit of Occupational Safety and Health" and "Excellent Personnel of Occupational Safety and Health" from the Executive Yuan.

        ● Far Eastern Memorial Hospital released the book "Epidemic disease does not look back on what Far Eastern Memorial Hospital did right" to record the anti epidemic deeds. (Figure 2)

                October 2021

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Asia Cement Corporation, Far Eastone Telecommunications, FE SOGO Department stores, and Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls won 10 awards of the first TSAA Taiwan Sustainable Action Award, ranking first in the Taiwan Group. (Figure 3)

        ● In 2021, the results of the Commercial Times "Taiwan Service Industry Grand Appraisal" were released. Far EasTone Telecommunications and city 'super won the Gold Award successively. Far EasTone Telecommunications won the "Best Customer Service Center Award" for the first time.

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport was listed in the combined constant stock of the FTSE Index for the fifth time.

        ● The data website of "DailyView Network Thermometer" held the selection of "The Fourth Internet Crossing Stele Star", and FE SOGO Department stores was the only department store that won the "Pilot Innovation Award" this year.

        ● Far Eastern Y.Z.Hsu Science&Technology Memorial Foundation held the "19th Y.Z.Hsu Scientific Award" award ceremony to praise 24 research elites.

        ● Far Eastern International Bank was awarded the "Digital Innovation Award" by Commercial Times. (Figure 4)

        ● The Singapore office of Far Eastern International Bank was officially opened.

        ● Far Eastern International Bank Bankee Community Bank was awarded the "National Brand E.SUN BANK Award - Best Product".

        ● Far Eastern International Bank was awarded the "Outstanding Service Award of Wealth Management Bank" by The Asset, an international financial professional magazine.

        ● Asia Cement Corporation (China) was awarded the "Asia Best Enterprise Award" by Asia Human Resources magazine.

        ● Asia Cement Corporation (China) was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award for Industrial Benefits" by China Cement Association.

        ● Yuan Ze University and Asia Eastern University of science and technology swept 13 medals in the 2021 Taiwan Innovation Expo.

        November 2021

        ● Eight enterprises, including Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Asia Cement Corporation, Far Eastern Department Stores, Far Eastone Telecommunications, U-Ming Marine Transport, Oriental Union Chemical Corporation, Far Eastern International Bank and FE SOGO Department Stores, It won 31 awards of "Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) and Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA)" in one fell swoop, and won the championship of all Taiwan enterprise groups. (Figure 5)

        ● FE SOGO Department stores, Far Eastern Department stores and A.Mart mass merchandisers won the Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award of the 3rd National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award respectively. Among them, FE SOGO Department stores were awarded the "Honorary Environmental Protection Enterprise Award". (Figure 6)

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation Xinpu Chemical Fiber Factory and Far Eastern Department Stores were selected as "110 Sports Enterprises of the Year" by Sports Administration, and by the Ministry of Education. Far Eastern International Bank also won the third place in the "i sports calendar points/credits competition".

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Far Eastone Telecommunications, FE SOGO Department stores, Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection and Far Eastern Group Shangri La Hotel in Taipei won the 1111 Job Bank "2021 Happy Enterprise - Gold Award", while Yuan Long Stainless Steel Corporation won the "Silver Award". In addition, Far Eastern New Century Corporation and Far Eastone Telecommunications were awarded "Special Award" for their enthusiasm for public welfare during the epidemic.

        ● Yuanchuang Wisdom will join hands with Advantech to introduce a new generation of ETC management platform into Thailand's expressway.

        ● Asia Cement Corporation Hualian Factory was awarded the "2021 Enterprise with Excellent Resource Circulation -- Two Star Award" by the Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan.

        ● Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection was awarded the "Golden Safety Award - Enterprise Group Contribution Award" by the Department of Transport.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications signed a three-year, NTD 2 billion "Perpetual Index Linked Commercial Promissory Note" with Mega Fung Bonds and International Bonds respectively.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications has been listed in the highest level "DJSI World" conceptual stock for three consecutive years, and in the "The Dow Jones Sustainability Indicators, DJSI Emerging Markets" conceptual stock for seven consecutive years.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications was awarded the "2021CHR Healthy Corporate Citizen - Silver Award" by Health magazine.

        ● Yu Chang Technical Commercial Vocational High School students participated in the "110 Academic Year Secondary School Skill Competition" and won the "Indoor Wiring Job - Excellence" and "Computer Software Design Job - Excellence" in the "Industrial" category; "Commercial" won the "Commercial Advertising Category - Excellence".

                December 2021

        ● Douglas Hsu was invited to attend the Vision Summit and was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" by former President Ma Ying jeou. (Figure 7)

        ● Asia Cement Corporation (China) was awarded the "Best Investor Relations in Raw Material Industry in Greater China" by Investor Relations magazine, and is the only cement company in Greater China that has won this honor.

        ● Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection cooperates with Thailand BGSR Consortium to build the "M6/M81 Expressway Project". (Figure 8)

        ● Asia Cement Corporation has won the honor of "Service and Solution" awarded by the Asian Chamber of Commerce, and is the only cement company that has won the prize in the world.

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation won the 18th National Innovation Award -- Enterprise Innovation Award (environmental technology and energy application category) for its global initiative of "Recycling Technology for Textile Resource Recycling and Upgrading Recycling".

        ● The list of "National Excellent Store Managers Praise and Outstanding Store Managers Selection" was announced, and Far Eastone Telecommunications and Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection won 24 awards.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications and Far Eastern International Bank won 23 awards of "CSEA Excellent Customer Service Award".

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport, U-Ming Marine Transport wind energy shipping and World Marine Offshore Taiwan A/S signed a joint venture agreement.

        ● Far Eastern International Bank and Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls both won the 2021 National Talent Development Award.

        ● Far Eastern Union Chemical Corporation Petrochemical (Yangzhou) EOG Factory won the honor of "Yangzhou Workers Pioneer in 2021" awarded by Yangzhou Federation of Trade Unions, and is the only unit in the Chemical Industry Park to win the prize.

        ● The Far Eastern Group Shangri La Hotel in Taipei has been rated as the "Best Business Hotel in Taipei" by Business Traveller Asia Pacific for five consecutive years.

        ● Zhou Lihua, President of the Far Eastern Group Shangri La Hotel in Tainan, was awarded the "President of Small and Medium Enterprises - National Outstanding Manager Award", which is the only President in the hotel industry in Taiwan in 2021.

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport has been listed in the portfolio consistent stock of FTSE4Good, the FTSE Taiwan Sustainability Index, for the sixth time.

        ● Far Eastern Resources Development held the girder ceremony of TPKE R&D office building. (Figure 9)

        ● Far Eastern Memorial Hospital made outstanding contributions during the new epidemic, and won medals of thanks from the Central Epidemic Command Center and New Taipei Municipal Government.

        January 2022

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications was awarded the "2021 National Medical Quality Award - Bronze Award of Industrial Application Group" by the Consortium Legal Person Hospital Evaluation and Medical Quality Policy Promotion Conference, and it is the only award-winning enterprise in the telecommunications industry.

        ● Far Eastern International Bank Bankee Community Bank was recognized by the British media Global Economic Magazine's "Global Economy Award" and awarded the "Taiwan's Best Innovative Digital Bank Award".

                February 2022

        ● The survey report on the mining right of Xinchengshan Mine of Asia Cement Corporation was released, which confirmed that Asia Cement Corporation had no irregularities in the process. At the subsequent consultation meeting, Asia Cement Corporation obtained 83% of the consent votes from the representatives of tribal families.

        ● Yuanyuan Oriental Union Chemical Corporation Petrochemical (Yangzhou) was awarded the "Excellent Enterprise in 2021" by Yizheng Municipal People's Government.

        ● Professor Liao Qingrong took over the sixth president of Yuan Ze University. (Figure 11)

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport (Singapore) and Overseas Chinese Bank of Singapore (OCBC) completed the signing of USD70 million "sustainable linked loan", writing a new milestone for U-Ming Marine Transport's first overseas commitment of "sustainable linked loan".

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications announced the merger of Asia Pacific Telecom and took Far EasTone Telecommunications as the surviving company. (Figure 12)

        ● Yuan Ze University School of Management has passed the Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) of the International Association for the Promotion of Business Schools (AACSB), and continues to be one of the world's top business schools.

        ● Far Oriental Union Chemical Corporation Petrochemical (Yangzhou) was awarded the honorary title of "Jiangsu Health Enterprise" by Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission.

        ● Far Eastern Union Chemical Corporation Petrochemical (Yangzhou) EOEG Workshop was selected as the second "Excellent Intelligent Workshop in Yangzhou City".

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications was awarded the "Silver Award" by S&P Global Perpetual Yearbook for three times.

        March 2022

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport held a naming ceremony for the 99990 deadweight tonnage ultra Panamanian extreme bulk carrier "Yuzhuo". (Figure 13)

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation won the "ISPO TEXTRENDS 2022 - Functional Textile Fashion Trends - FW23/24 Best Environmental Product Award".

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport (Singapore) signed a USD50 million "perpetual linked loan" with AXA Bank.

        ● The new reconstruction of Far Eastern International Bank Linkou Branch was opened.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications issued the first "social responsibility bonds" in Taiwan's telecommunications industry, and also raised the largest amount of Taiwan dollars in a single time.

        ● Delivery of the largest tonnage environment-friendly new ships in the history of Wuhan Changya Shipping -- "Changya 11" and "Changya 12". (Figure 14)

        ● Far Eastern International Bank won the "Best Service", "Best Wealth Appreciation" and "Best Public Welfare Promotion" awards in the wealth management survey of Caixun.

                April 2022

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications won the silver award of "Innovative Business Award - Best Management Innovation Award" in Digital Age.

        ● Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation announced the results of the eighth corporate governance evaluation, and Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Far Eastone Telecommunications and Far Eastern International Bank were among the top 5% enterprises; Oriental Union Chemical Corporation, Far Eastern Department Stores, U-Ming Marine Transport and Asia Cement Corporation also won the top 6%~20%, and Everest Textile also won the top 21%~35%.

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation was awarded "Regional Awards" by FinanceAsia.

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport signed a NTD2.5 billion "sustainable linked loan" with Mizuho Bank.

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport wind energy shipping "Yufeng 3" and "Yufeng 5" have completed the transfer of citizenship and classification. (Figure 15)

        May 2022

        ● Far Eastern Group won 5 honors in the 18th Foresight CSR&ESG Corporate Social Responsibility Award, ranking first in all Taiwan enterprise groups. Among them, Far Eastern New Century Corporation won the "Model Award for Traditional Industries" and the "Recycling and Sustainability Group - First Prize"; Far EasTone Telecommunications was awarded the "Telecommunications Industry - Model Award"; FE SOGO Department stores won the "General Service Industry - Model Award"; Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls won the "Public Welfare Promotion Group - Model Award". (Figure 16)

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunication's self-developed "remote diagnosis and treatment service platform" has passed the verification of the Health Insurance Circulation and Liability Act of the United States, becoming the first telecom operator in Taiwan to pass this certification.

        ● Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Corporation formulated the first version of Taiwan's Rules for the Classification of Ready Mixed Concrete Products, and obtained carbon labels for four products of ready mixed concrete.

        ● Far EasTone Telecommunications launched the "5G Private Network Innovation Business Model".

        ● Yuan Ze University signed a memorandum of cooperation with St. Vincent's Embassy in National Taiwan University and Schwartini's Embassy in National Taiwan University.

                June 2022

        ● FE SOGO Department stores undertook "green fixed deposit" of NTD130 million for Development Bank of Singapore and KGI Bank, which is the first enterprise undertaking green fixed deposit in Taiwan's department store industry.

        ● Asia Cement Corporation and Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Corporation both received the certification of "Net Zero Mark" issued by Taiwan Net Zero Action Alliance.

        ● The development of Far Eastern Resources Development held a ceremony for "Taipei Far Eastern Group Communication Park Stereoscopic Parking Tower - TPKP". (Figure 17)

        ● Far Oriental Union Chemical Corporation Petrochemical (Yangzhou) was awarded the "Best Charitable Donor" by Yizheng Municipal People's Government from 2017 to 2021.

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation and Far Eastone Telecommunications were selected as "Asia's Best Management Team in 2022" in Institutional Investor.

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation and Development Bank of Singapore signed an NTD 1 billion blue loan.

        ● Far Eastern Department Stores Chongqing Jiangbei won the honor of "Chongqing High Quality International Consumption Scenarios in 2022".

        ● Far Eastern General Construction Inc. was awarded the "Excellent Unit of Labor Safety" by the Taipei Municipal Government.

        ● Yuan Ze University and the Embassy of St. Christopher in National Taiwan University signed a memorandum of cooperation. (Figure 18)

        July 2022

        ● U-Ming Marine Transport held a naming ceremony for the 99990 metric ton ultra Panamanian extreme bulk carrier "Yuyue". (Figure 19)

        ● The winner list of the "2022 Taiwan Service Industry Grand Appraisal" held by Commercial Times was announced, and Far EasTone Telecommunications won the "Chain Telecom Industry - Gold Medal" again; City 'super has also been awarded the "Chain Supermarket - Gold Medal" for 8 consecutive years; Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls won the "Department Store/Shopping Center Silver Medal". In addition, colleagues of Far Eastone Telecommunications and City 'super also won the "Service Pioneer Award".

        ● In 2022, the "AREA Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards" was announced. Five companies, Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Far Eastern Department Stores, Asia Cement Corporation, FE SOGO Department stores, and Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls, stood out from nearly 200 enterprises and 300 projects in Asia, and won a total of 11 awards.

        ● Yuanfang Industry (Shanghai) signed a green financing cooperation agreement with Industrial Bank Shanghai Branch.

        ● Far Eastern Department Stores launched a series of public welfare assistance programs during the epidemic, and was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Taipei Municipal Government.

                August 2022

        ● Far Eastern New Century Corporation, 7-ELEVEN and Tongyi Packaging, Taiwan's unified supermarket, exclusively promoted the "recycled economy resource recycling machine" in the North District.

        ● The Far Eastern Memorial Foundation and Far Eastern Department Stores jointly organized the "Far East Architecture Award -- Historic Site Visit Month" activity. (Figure 20)

        ● Far Eastern International Bank Bankee Community Bank launched the first Yuanuniverse Branch in Taiwan.

        ● Seven companies, including Far Eastern New Century Corporation, Asia Cement Corporation, Far Eastern Department Stores, FE SOGO Department stores, Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Yuan Ze University, have achieved outstanding sustainable performance, and won the "2022 Asia Pacific Sustainable Action Award" with five gold, two silver and four bronze awards, totaling 11 awards.

        ● FE SOGO Department stores have been awarded the "Taipei Labor Safety Award" for 10 consecutive years, and have been successively awarded "Excellent Unit", "Excellent Personnel" and "Big Boss".

        ● HAPPY GO announced that it would no longer actively issue physical cards, encourage cardholder to download apps to experience digital services, and respond to sustainable environmental protection.
