Pursuing sustainable performance and creating a win-win situation for enterprises, society, and the environment

        The global business environment has undergone significant changes in recent years, and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the pace of global change. On the one hand, it promotes the development of digital technology, drives new business models and consumer behavior, and drives the digital transformation of global industries and enterprises; On the other hand, it also deepens the world's attention to climate issues, and countries are working to change to slow down the pace of global warming.

                In order to avoid the aggravation of climate change, more than 130 countries around the world have committed to achieving the carbon neutrality goal by 2050. At COP26 held in the UK in November 2021, countries also reached a consensus to gradually reduce the use of coal and fossil fuels. To achieve this goal, significant changes need to be initiated from various aspects such as society and life.

        In 2021, I was fortunate enough to receive two awards: the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the 19th Vision Summit and the "Management Medal", the highest honor of the Management Science Society. Thank you to all Far Easterners for working together to create value for society through the power of the enterprise. In the face of a rapidly changing environment, I believe that enterprises should establish four key capabilities:

        Agility: Ability to quickly adjust and take action when it is necessary to change direction.

        Flexibility: Able to cope with unexpected changes, changing output and services.

        Endurance: When facing external pressure, do not panic and maintain orderly operation.

        Sustainability Development (Sustainability): Committed to creating long-term value and bringing positive impact to customers, employees, society, and other stakeholders.

Sustainability performance has been highly recognized by various sectors and has been selected for multiple sustainability indices and evaluations at home and abroad, including CDP, MSCI Sustainability Leadership Index, FTSE Social Responsibility Emerging Markets Index, Taiwan Sustainability Index, Taiwan Corporate Governance 100 Index, Greater China Enterprise Sustainability Index, etc. It has also been awarded the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award (TCSA), Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA), World Sustainability Citizenship Award, and more Foresight Magazine CSR Award, Top 5% in Corporate Governance Evaluation, etc; In 2021, he was awarded the Asia Best Corporate Employer Award and Sports Enterprise Certification.
