Yuan Ze University actively establishes cooperative relationships with world-renowned universities and is committed to becoming the most international university in Taiwan. In 2024, we will collaborate with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) MISTI Program to organize the MIT-YZU Technology, Culture, and English Experience Camp, and collaborate with the Harvard A Cappella Choir to organize the Harvard YZU A Cappella Concert. Through the event, we aim to broaden students' horizons and stimulate their interest in information, technology, language, and culture.
The MIT-YZU Technology, Culture, and English Experience Camp is organized by MIT to select 5 elite students to come to Taiwan, along with student assistants from Yuan Ze University, to jointly plan all English courses covering knowledge fields such as science, engineering, Sustainability Development, and AI applications. Visits are also arranged to the city government and industrial fields to enhance students' cross-cultural communication and cooperation abilities. This event will be held in July in two tiers, attracting 200 high school students from all over Taiwan to participate. The students not only have close contact with MIT's overseas internship team and learn professional knowledge during the activity, but also have exposure to Sustainability Development construction, expanding their understanding of society, and cultivating the ability to propose innovative Sustainability Development plans through experience and learning guidance.
In addition, the Yuan Ze University Art Center collaborated with the Harvard A Cappella Chorus to organize the "Harvard YZU A Cappella Concert", inviting three groups: the Harvard A Cappella Chorus, the Yuan Ze University LALA Band Vocal Chorus, and the Taoyuan Municipal Wuling Senior High School Music Class to perform, bringing a unique music feast. We hope to promote cultural exchange with Harvard University and high school (vocational) students, expand local school connections, and establish closer cooperation with local governments and enterprises.
