Far EasTone Telecommunications / Zhu Zhengting
To build a low-carbon and sustainable supply chain, Far EasTone Telecommunications invites its suppliers to participate in the first "Sustainable Governance Workshop". The Sustainable Transformation Consultant will share the latest international sustainable concepts and trends, and provide individual coaching and consultation for supplier partners to examine their net zero transformation status and capabilities, assist in solving pain points during the transformation process, enhance mutual understanding and build consensus through workshop communication and collaboration, and achieve a green and resilient supply chain towards the net zero goal.
In his speech, Chee Ching President thanked his supplier partners for their joint efforts and stated that Far EasTone Telecommunications has been selected as the highest ranking world index in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for five consecutive years, with a total score ranking first in the global telecommunications industry. Among them, the supply chain management score (PR99) is also among the top, which is the result of the joint efforts of supplier partners and Far EasTone Telecommunications. Not only that, Far EasTone Telecommunications has once again won the highest honor "Leadership A-level" in the global authoritative carbon disclosure organization CDP Supplier Cooperation Evaluation this year, becoming the only telecommunications operator in Taiwan to be selected for four consecutive years. We look forward to continuously learning and improving with our supplier partners on a sustainable path through this workshop.
Climate change and extreme weather are urgent global issues that need to be addressed. Low carbon net zero transformation not only leaves a beautiful environment for future generations, but also concerns industrial competitiveness. Far EasTone Telecommunications not only integrates sustainability into operations, but also hopes to work with supply chain partners to promote sustainability through its own practical experience. Last year, it provided online guidance on sustainable business development for over 300 suppliers, and this year it plans a "Sustainable Governance Workshop". Compared to the previous "Recycled Economy Workshop" which focused on building a recycled economy ecosystem, this time we will further guide suppliers in developing their own sustainable governance policies.
In addition, considering that most small and medium-sized enterprises often struggle to align with international sustainability issues, Far EasTone Telecommunications has partnered with professional consultants to provide a "Lazy Pack for Sustainable Governance Documents", with experts providing one-on-one guidance to supplier partners to assist them in developing sustainable governance documents with unique corporate characteristics, and to enhance their ability to respond to due diligence requirements from domestic and foreign customers.
