We are very different when we are together
Far Eastern Dyeing&Finishing (Suzhou) / Youzhu
On weekends and holidays, I like to take my nephew and niece up and down the mountains and sea, or sign up for parent-child activities, hoping to enrich their childhood and let them know and experience the world more. On May 18th of this year, I also signed up for the company's "Being Together is Different" parent-child activity.
With anticipation, more than ten groups of families arrived at their destination - Wuzhong Special School - by bus amidst laughter and joy. Entering the school gate, what catches the eye are colorful welcome signs and colorful balloon decorations on both sides of the road. On the nearby playground, there are colorful props prepared for the game, and staff dressed in orange are busy among them. Four rest areas for teams have been set up at the four corners of the playground, and the supply area on one side of the main stage is filled with cute cakes and refreshing drinks, all of which are children's favorites! The musician on the other side brings his machine equipment and enjoys his own music! The little sisters in the check-in area were even earlier holding queue stickers of apples, watermelons, lemons, and strawberries, waiting for our arrival. Not only is there activity photography on site, but also a thoughtful photo check-in area has been set up for everyone. After receiving the stickers and meeting the team, you must hold an imposing hand card and take a beautiful photo to inspire yourself first!
I originally thought that the children at Wuzhong Special School would be difficult to get along with due to their introversion and inferiority complex, but during a brief period of interaction, I found that they were no different from ordinary children except for physical defects (there were five groups of families in Wuzhong Special Education in each team).
Their personalities are cheerful and lively, always giving me bright smiles and being more courageous in expressing themselves. One of the babies not only sang and danced without any stage fright, but also bravely performed a song and dance for everyone on stage! During her lunch break, she didn't hesitate to express her feelings for her parents, repeating over and over on the phone, "Dad, I love you. Dad, you've worked hard," while her mother smiled kindly on the side, as if the plot from the movie had suddenly entered reality, making my heart melt.
The first game to appear is the warm-up game, where everyone dances waltzes to the rhythm of the music. The children's little chicken dance is also cute and silly, and the nephew jumps until he is sweating profusely. He directly takes off his sun hat, and the scene is filled with a joyful atmosphere. In the game of 'Fruit Squat', the host brought the atmosphere to its climax. The strawberry team and watermelon team challenged each other, and the apple team and lemon team nearby couldn't help but burst into laughter. In the end, the host had to use his power to force the end of the game.
Due to the tacit understanding of warm-up interaction, during the official competition, our Apple team quickly found a way to work closely under the leadership of the captain. Unfortunately, we still finished second in the "Tetris" event by a few seconds; Although in the game links of "Dry Land Loong Boat" and "One Shot", the team leader was a little flustered and could not enter the final, but the captain said well, "As long as you work hard!" After all, the children worked hard in the game and enjoyed happiness. In order to give children more honor and happiness, adults also worked hard in the game. The spirit of us, who were originally strangers, integrating, understanding, and helping each other, obeying commands and arrangements, and working together in the process is commendable!
Although we didn't win the championship after three rounds of games, looking through the photos during the process again and again, the bright smiles, warm moments, cute expressions, and funny actions all left us wanting more! My nephew also gained a lot of happiness here, and the children's genuine joy was the biggest gain of everyone's trip.
After intense exercise, everyone consumed too much energy. After taking a short break, they enjoyed a delicious lunch. Few children can escape the temptation of KFC, where hamburgers, french fries, egg tarts, and cola that should be consumed less create rare moments of tranquility.
The project of "painted gypsum dolls" indoors in the afternoon was originally thought to be a preference for girls, but unexpectedly the male dolls also took it seriously. Everyone worked together and after one or two hours of professional polishing, the works of each group of families were successfully presented in the spotlight. Photographers were busy taking photos, and the art teacher also brought a few mini products. My eldest nephew even kindly gave them to me, which moved me deeply!
Unconsciously, as the sunset gradually set, we also welcomed the award ceremony. Although the Lemon team won the championship, other children also enjoyed it with the LEGO prizes as compensation. In the final group photo, everyone seemed to have turned a few shades darker than in the morning, but let's just go black. Our smiles remained the same, and we all returned with a full load. My nephew even secretly told me that he still wanted to come back!
I am very happy to have this opportunity to spend a wonderful day with a group of innocent and naive children. They are no different from us, but today's gathering makes them look particularly different! I hope our arrival can bring them happiness and joy, and I am also very grateful to the company for planning such a meaningful event for us (of course, I am also grateful to the sponsor lululemon for this event), which allowed me to meet these strong and outgoing children, as well as their kind and caring parents. I learned patience and responsibility from these parents; In children, I see strength and optimism, as well as some value to society. Especially the "Volunteer Service Certificate" awarded the next day, which is a great honor for us! I believe this event is also a wonderful memory for children, and when they look back on the past in the future, they will definitely feel happy too!
