Low carbon operation upgrades towards 2048 net zero vision Far EasTone Telecommunication is Taiwan's first company to achieve 1.5° Telecom operators who have passed the Short Range Target Review by the Science Based Reduction Initiative (SBTi) in Scenario C have committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2048. In 2024, through the integration of the Asia Pacific network, the retirement of 3G, and AI intelligent energy-saving technology, we aim to save over 150 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20.95% compared to the baseline year (2021), demonstrating our determination to achieve net zero carbon reduction. In terms of green energy, Far EasTone Telecommunication has built its own solar photovoltaic power plant with a contracted capacity of 24MW and an annual output of 30 million kWh of green electricity.
