FE GREEN PET (M) SDN BHD participates in Malaysia's Sustainability Development education to showcase recycled economy and environmental commitment

        FE GREEN PET (M) SDN BHD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Far Eastern New Century Corporation, was invited to participate in the "5th PaGamO Environmental Disaster Prevention Warriors Malacca State Finals" organized by the Tzu Chi Foundation Malacca Branch on October 11th. With the theme of "Plastic Recycling Education and Recycling", an interactive display booth was set up to introduce the recycling process and recycling applications of PET bottles to students and the public, demonstrating Far Eastern Group's social responsibility in creating a sustainable future.

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation established a bottle manufacturing plant, Far Eastern Group PET FAR EASTERN (M) SDN BHD, in Senai, Johor, Malaysia in 1995, providing PET food grade bottle preforms for local beverage brands. To accelerate the implementation of the "bottle to bottle" recycling system, a new green recycled polyester pellet factory FMGP will be built in Malacca, Malaysia in 2024, completing the integration of upstream and downstream products, leveraging the group's vertical synergy, and creating higher value. Currently, Malaysia still faces multiple challenges in the recycling of PET PET bottles, with an overall recycling rate of only about 40%, and the remaining 60% flowing into landfills or scattered in the natural environment. As the largest PET recycled polyester pellet factory in Malaysia, FMGP will actively participate in various sustainability and recycling promotion activities, practicing its deep commitment to the recycled economy and environmental protection.
