U-Ming Marine Transport collaborates with Purus to establish 'UPO' and expand into the offshore wind power market in the Asia Pacific region

        U-Ming Marine Transport's subsidiary, U-Ming Marine Offshore (UMO), announced the establishment of a joint venture with Purus Group's global offshore energy maritime services leader, UPO Holdings Co., Ltd., to accelerate its layout in the offshore wind power market in Taiwan and the Asia Pacific region. The joint venture will be unveiled at the "2025 Taiwan International Wind Energy Exhibition" on October 29th, opening a new chapter for cross-border maritime cooperation and energy transformation development.

        UPO has customized two new customized VARD 419 type ocean wind power operation and maintenance mother ships (CSOVs), with a length of 88 meters, designed specifically for severe wind, current, and wave conditions in Taiwan waters, and equipped with industry-leading equipment and technologies such as Seaonics fully electric Walk to Work (W2W) three-dimensional dynamic balance corridor bridge and advanced DP2 dynamic positioning system.
