Sustainable driving transformation leads the new future of retail

 The retail industry is changing rapidly, and companies must constantly adjust their operating models and service values in order to maintain their advantages in the fiercely competitive market. We firmly believe that the long-term competitiveness of enterprises comes from the common growth with stakeholders. Therefore, the company integrates ESG concepts into its operations and management decisions, and through a more responsible and Go Innovative business approach, continues to work hand in hand with employees, customers, and brand partners to gradually shape a retail model that combines sustainable concepts and innovative services, bringing positive impact to the industry. Steady growth in operations, strengthening sustainability development momentum
In the increasingly competitive department store market, Far Eastern Department Stores will continue to demonstrate stable operational performance in 2025, with an overall revenue of NTD 60 billion and maintaining stable growth momentum. Among them, Taichung City Far Eastern Department Stores and Banqiao Far Eastern Department Stores, two large flagship stores, continue to deepen their high-end customer base operations through mall space optimization and brand structure upgrading; Other stores also combine diversified marketing activities and experiential services based on the characteristics of the business district and consumer demand, to enhance customer interaction and visitor motivation. Stable operational results not only lay the foundation for enterprise development, but also provide stable support for promoting various sustainable actions.
Prioritize security management and create a secure shopping area
Public safety has always been an important foundation for the operation of department stores. Far Eastern Department Stores has also incorporated safety management into its operational governance core, adhering to the management principles of "prevention first, immediate response, and continuous improvement", and fully integrating safety mechanisms into daily operations. The relevant measures include disaster prevention education and training, on-site drills, public facility safety inspections, drinking water and indoor air quality management, as well as AED emergency equipment configuration and personnel training. Through standardized processes, regular inspections, and continuous education and training, a comprehensive safety management system is established to ensure that customers, employees, and partners can enjoy a safe and secure environment in the mall.
Healthy workplace for employees, implementing diverse and inclusive values
Employees are the most important asset of a company. Far Eastern Department Stores is committed to creating a healthy and inclusive workplace culture, and continues to promote employee health programs, now in its seventh year. This plan combines occupational safety management, health promotion, and gender equality education to comprehensively enhance employees' awareness of physical and mental health and work safety. The related achievements have been recognized by the Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) for two consecutive years. By implementing a comprehensive workplace strategy that considers health management, occupational safety and environmental optimization, and gender equality, we aim to gradually establish a sustainable workplace model that balances health, safety, and inclusivity.
Connecting social forces and amplifying the impact of public welfare
Far Eastern Department Stores has long been committed to social welfare and has made good use of its channel resources across Taiwan to connect brand partners and social groups, jointly promoting public welfare actions. By 2025, a total of 1053 public welfare activities will be held, and employee volunteer service will exceed 1135 hours. Through diverse forms of public welfare participation, integrating the power of enterprises and stakeholders, not only responding to social needs, but also deepening the connection between enterprises and society, allowing public welfare actions to continue to accumulate long-term influence.

Faced with the challenges of rapid industrial changes and sustainability development, Far Eastern Department Stores will continue to prioritize ESG as its core strategy, deepening the concept of sustainability into operational management and service innovation.
