Autumn Travel Notes: Autumn hot spring in Yangming

Farewell to the rainy days, I greeted the warm sunshine, fresh breeze, with the melodious music from headphones, arrived at the designated gathering place early, full of expectations for today's departmental tourism. In a few moments, familiar figures came into view, and every colleague's face was filled with expectations. When the people arrived, the vehicles moved slowly, which opened the prelude to today's trip to Yangmingshan.
The tour bus shuttled through the cement jungle of Taipei City, accompanied by the laughter and laughter of its colleagues, and the Yangde Avenue in Yangming Mountain, which I was once very familiar with. During my four years in the United States, I have thought of this winding and full of memories of the mountain scenery countless times. During the University period, for the night scenery of the back hill of the cultural university and the sea taro of the bamboo lake, friends of the "35th Five-Year Plan" often went for a bicycle ride in the mountains. It is common to go there two or three times a week. While recalling the past and admiring the magnificence of Yangmingshan, we arrived at the first scenic spot of today, the small oil pit.
When the car door opened, I thought there would be biting cold and bitter sulphur in my nose, but it was a warm autumn sun and a comfortable breeze. Fortunately, the Yangming Mountain was not covered by heavy fog, and the parking lot in the small oil pit overlooked the mountains around Taipei City. After explaining the names of the mountains and the local vegetation in detail, the guide immediately led you to the scenic footpath of the small oil pit.
This is a gentle path paved with stone bricks surrounded by a well-trimmed bamboo forest of the same height as the others. About 15 minutes'journey, breathing the rare fineness of the city, suddenly a pungent, strong sulphur smell rushed to the head. We had already reached the small oil pit viewing platform, a rare natural landscape in the world. After the volcanoes around the Pacific Ocean stopped their activities, the waste heat and volcanic gases from the ground rose up along the fissures and emerged from the outlet of the ground. It can't help but sigh at the ingenious workmanship of nature.
The second scenic spot is Yangming Bookstore, which is located at the fork of Yangde Avenue before it reaches Zhuzihu Lake. It is one of the halls of former President Jiang Jieshi. Because Jiang Gong admired Wang Yangming, a Confucian scholar of the Ming Dynasty, for his name, here is also called Jiang Gong's last hall. When I was a child, I had heard all kinds of stories about Jiang Gong from my grandparents. Now I finally had the chance to see his residence. Along the way, I listened to the guide's detailed explanations. From geomantic omen design to relevant documentation, there was even a letter written by Jiang Gong to Guo Yuanzhi, a Taiwanese baseball player who traveled to Japan, which revealed Jiang Gong's gratitude and his devotion to talent cultivation in Taiwan. I was greatly moved.
Next came the place for lunch, a mountain food restaurant overlooking the Yangmingshan Flower Bell and managed by the local governor. After tasting an unforgettable feast, he went to the next scenic spot, Yangmingshan Air Defense Shelter, with a satisfied smile. It is said that this is a scenic spot that has never been opened to visitors. We are fortunate to have a glimpse of this helical underground air defense base under the long local road. The entrance of the air-raid shelter is located on a pedestrian road near Yangmingshan Fire Station. If there is no special person to lead the way, it is not allowed to enter at all. Mysteriously, not only can the underground accommodate 600 people, but also equipped with wells and generators, and even a small The presidential palace, people have to admire the skills of their ancestors, but also feel grateful for their peaceful times.
After leaving the Hot Spring Hotel, we took our energetic body to the dinner spot and tasted Taiwan's unique cuisine and rich and wonderful food. After a full meal and wine, with the laughter of colleagues from one place to another, we set out on our way home. From the quiet two-lane road to the noisy eight-lane road, I am constantly reminiscent of this journey, not only to see the magnificent scenery proud of the Taiwanese, to taste the delicious Taiwanese food, but also to witness the ancestors'efforts for this land. To be honest, the pace of modern people's life is too fast, it is easy to overlook the good things in life, in fact, it is not necessary to buy a ticket to be called a holiday, as long as you are willing to quietly and carefully taste, even some habitual landscape, can have different good feelings.
