A Visit to Zhaoling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty at Summer Solstice
Far Eastern New Century Corporation / Liu Zuliang
Zhaoling Tomb of Qing Dynasty, also known as Beiling Tomb, is the tomb of Emperor Taizong Taiji of Qing Dynasty and Empress Xiaoduanwen Boerji Jite in the north of Zhaoyang Old Town. The mausoleum covers an area of 180,000 square meters. It is the largest and best preserved mausoleum among the three mausoleums outside Guanwai.
On the summer solstice day, I went to the Qingzhao Tomb. There were many ancient trees in the garden, especially pines and tamarisks. Although the sun was shining overhead, I strolled through the pine forests without feeling the heat at all. There were lakes and magnificent archways and city pools in the garden. They were magnificent and quiet. The imperial Taiji, who slept in the mausoleum, was one of the outstanding emperors of the Qing Dynasty. It can be said that without Emperor Taiji, there would be no Qing Dynasty in 268 years.
Emperor Taiji perfected the Eight Banners System, incorporated the Eight Banners of Mongolia and Han Dynasty, laid the foundation for the army of Qing Dynasty, and imitated the Ming Dynasty to establish six governing states. He also created Manchu script, opened imperial examinations, advocated equality between Manchu and Han Dynasty. Compared with the Emperor Taiji of the Qing Dynasty, Huang Taiji did not superstitiously believe in force, on the contrary, he had more political wisdom and broad mind.
After the break-up between Nurhachi and the Ming Dynasty in Wanli 44 years, the two sides fought in the Salhu Mountains. The Ming Dynasty soldiers divided into four routes to encircle and suppress the Eight Banners Army. Among them, the Northern Route Army Malin, the Western Route Army Jun Song, and the Eastern Route Army Liu Qi were defeated by Huang Taiji. Nurhachi founded a country called "Houjin". Huang Taiji knew very well about political operation and had a strategic vision. He knew that with small battles and big battles (at that time, the population of Manchu was only about one percent of Ming Dynasty), he had to talk about fighting and border warfare through encroachment. However, the title of "Jin" was built by Nvzhen nationality, which was easy for Han people to make. When people think of the difficulty of Jingkang and Qin Huai, no one dares to preside over the reconciliation (which official of Ming Dynasty dares to bear the name of Qin Huai in contemporary times). It is because he changed his country name from "Houjin" to "Qing" in order to avoid the above association.
In terms of personnel, Huang Taiji's EQ is also very high. He is not passive to the right to release troops by lowering the cup of wine, but to actively make these people contribute to the founding of the Great Qing Dynasty. The generals of the Ming Dynasty, such as Kong Youde, Geng Zhongming, Shang Kexin, Zu Kefa and Hong Chengchou, all used the generals of the Ming Dynasty to defeat Li Zicheng and destroy the Nanming government. Great merit. Relative to Emperor Taiji, Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty destroyed his resistance to Yuan Chonghuan, the Great Wall of the Qing Dynasty, and forced him to rebel against his grandfather's longevity. Moreover, Sun Chengzong, who had excellent moral integrity, did not use it. Therefore, Daming's collapse could not be blamed on others.
Emperor Tai Chi was very polite to the generals. When he met the "big tail" such as Zu Dashou and Hong Chengchou, he hugged and hugged them, even though he had a big banquet for three days and a small banquet for five days. These surrenders played a great role in the Qing Dynasty (according to Ge Jianxiong's "History of China's Population Development", there were only about 100,000 people in the Eight Banners Army at that time. If we did not rely on the surrenders of the Ming Dynasty, where could we reunify China). The temperament and skill of Huang Taiji were the key factors to master them. History tells us that the most important thing for a leader is his mind and demeanor. If he is suspicious and ungrateful, he does not know how to win the hearts and minds of the people, and is aware of the fact that even the people around him can not accept him, how can he win the support of the people? What's more, it's self-restriction, separation of people, alienation of factions, self-leading circle, that "friends are enemies." Over time, fewer and fewer allies, more and more enemies. Famous officials such as Wei Zheng and Lieutenant Chi Gong in the Taizong period of the Tang Dynasty were not descendants of their families. The latter were descendants of Dou Jiande after his defeat. The former was even an important assistant of Prince Li Chengcheng. However, Li Shimin's tolerance was great enough to achieve his success.
In terms of temperament, Huang Taiji fully shows the hero's tearful side. When his beloved Chen imperial concubine was ill, Huang Taiji was on the front lines of Songshan and Jinzhou, preparing for a decisive battle with the Ming Army. When he got the news, he immediately handed over the troops to Doudou and Dudu, and hurried back to Liaoyang, halfway to where Chen imperial concubine had died. He couldn't help crying loudly in front of his followers. After returning to Mianyang, he cried all the way into the Ling Tang of Chen imperial concubine, even fainted. How sincere this feeling is, it is unique in the imperial family (the Chinese and foreign emperors killed their wives and children like chopping melons and vegetables, so did Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty, and so did Dechuan Jiakang). He was not only touched by Chen imperial concubine under Jiuquan, but also by other generals and ministers. As for the subordinates who had worked together for many years, Huang Taiji also had great emotions. When he learned the news of Confucian minister Dahai's death, he could not help sniffing down in front of his ministers. When hunting the tomb of Zhenghuang Banner Gushan Ezhen Lenger Ritual, he also personally dismounted to the tomb, drinked in a golden cup, and then cried bitterly. These reveal the true feelings, let a person feel heroic spirit is not short, children love longer, not only does not damage their merits, but also let the people of the past and future generations feel closer to him.
There are probably few people in Taiwan who have a good impression of politicians because they can't stand their greed, hypocrisy, love for power and different opinions. It's hard for these politicians to like them from their hearts. They may even hate and fear them! Because this kind of person has more political cells and less human feelings. Maybe some people think that the "big thing" must be like this. The so-called "non-toxic husband" cloud, but I can not agree. The emperor did not see the Emperor Taiji more than 300 years ago. He was not only one of the best emperors in Qing Dynasty, but also respected for his humanity, affection and sense.
Talent, strategy, wisdom and ingenuity are the necessary abilities of politicians, but only at the level of "skill". The "Tao" that truly enables a person to dominate the world comes from his inherent character-fairness, sincerity, integrity and courage. Only by possessing such personality traits can we gather people's hearts and accomplish great things; so did Alexander the Great, so did King Arthur, and so did Emperor Taiji.
Strategies alone are not enough to accomplish great deeds in the world, because they can only deceive the masses for a time, and they can not get the real hearts of the people. All ingenuity and contingency are only means. Only when true temperament is the pillar behind them can sympathy and "intolerance" be achieved. This is what Confucius called "benevolence". "! Only with benevolence can we win the hearts of the people, and only with the hearts of the people can we win the world!
Entering the garden at noon, looking at cultural relics and taking pictures of beautiful scenery all the way, the time has passed, and when leaving the garden, dusk is approaching. In the vast land of Songliao, look at the sunset and shine the banner, sigh with regret that the career of 30 years is like a long ditch and a flowing moon, and suddenly look back, is there a hero in the world?
