Kaohsiung Far Eastern Department Store staff worked as a volunteers to help the elderly.

        Kaohsiung Far Eastern Department Store continues to participate in the implementation of social welfare. After attending the autumn beach cleaning activity held by Kaohsiung Yongan District Government Office in Yongxinwan on September 28 with successful removal of about 3,000 kg of garbage, on October 3, a volunteer team was formed by the staff to assist as the "Super Housekeeper" of Huashan Foundation, being responsible for managing the administrative affairs of the caring stations, reorganizing donation, helping the elders get the most appropriate care; since the anniversary is about to start, Kaohsiung Far Eastern Department Store emphasizes the role of good neighbors in the community, in order to provide customers with more quality services.

        

        

        

         Far Eastern Department Store shop, Senior Vice President, Mao Zhiguo said that on the eve of the anniversary, they hold connection of love “FEDS One-Day Super Housekeeper with infinite love” public welfare activity with Huashan Foundation and calls on colleagues to join in a series of services, such as telephone greetings, text preparation and delivery, station environment cleaning, and visit the elderly living alone to implement corporate social responsibility and also hope that Kaohsiung Far Eastern Department Store will create a happy enterprise with positive force, and extend this happiness to the families in need in the society.

        

        The Huashan foundation, No.2 Ling Ya station, said that at present, 389 stations have been set up in Taiwan. They are free to provide the elders (disability, dementia and loss of dependence) with services, including care at festivals, escort to the doctor, and bathing in the original bed, etc. It is expected to establish community mutual assistance and self-help mode and construct another home for the elders with the spirit of "local people serve local people". In addition to raising funds through invoices and fundraising, second-hand goods charity sale is also an important part, all the income is included in the service fund, some clothing or daily necessities can also be provided free of charge to the elderly. However, since the donations from the public are diversified, some are old, the others are new, so it takes a lot of effort to reorganize. More business groups and kind people are appealed to join in the public welfare activities to make elders receive the most appropriate care. Meanwhile, the foundation is now holding an activity of helping the elders, one can get 1250 yuan a month to help the elders (disability, dementia and loss of dependence) with housework and daily life.
