Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G ecosphere commercial layout has succeeded again! On November 20, it announced to launch Taiwan's first 5G remote diagnosis and treatment foresight project in cooperation with three major medical centers: Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Buddhist Tzu Chi General Hospital and Kaohsiung Medical University Chung Ho Memorial Hospital, and officially released the Far EasTone Telecommunication service platform, which will combine Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G core technology (big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of things (IOT)) " with the advantages of diagnosis and treatment in Taiwan to realize the remote mobility of medical treatment and solve the medical differences in rural areas through technology. In addition, the project is also combined with the public welfare project of "rural medical care to spread love". Far EasTone Telecommunication will donate three sets of remote diagnosis and treatment facilities to take care of rural residents, improve the problem of insufficient diagnosis and treatment resources, and make medical resources fully and equally available to all corners.
"There are more than 700 FET stores and services are all over Taiwan. The care and interaction with local residents have always been regarded as an extremely important part of corporate social responsibility," said Far EasTone Telecommunication President Chee Ching. In 2014, health + service was launched, focusing on digital application of home care, medical care and long-term care institutions, which makes we know that the medical gap between urban and rural areas has always existed, so we regard the health of the public as our own responsibility, invest in the field of intelligent medical care ahead of the industry, and deepen the cultivation. This time, we took the lead in publishing the remote medical foresight plan with the three medical centers, using Far EasTone Telecommunication 5G “big data + AI + IOT” core technology to set up a remote diagnosis and treatment service platform, and combining with the absolute advantages of Taiwan's advanced medical treatment, we will jointly bring medical resources to rural areas, hoping to shorten the gap between urban and rural diagnosis and treatment, and truly realize the vision of "no rural areas" in medical treatment. "
Far EasTone Telecommunication practices smart medical to build the first medical IOT resource network system in Taiwan
According to Statista, the number of patients with remote diagnosis and treatment in the world has grown from 350000 in 2013 to 7 million in 2018. Global Market Insights estimates that by 2025, the value of the global remote medical market will reach 130.5 billion US dollars. With the coming of the aging society, the demand for the convenience of diagnosis and treatment is also increasing rapidly, and remote diagnosis and treatment has become an imperative trend. Far EasTone Telecommunication continues to work with Ericsson, a long-term partner, to implement 5G ecosystem application and announced the pilot process of smart medical solutions, taking the lead in launching medical IoT in Taiwan and launching the first 5G remote diagnosis and treatment foresight project in Taiwan.
In the initial stage, the pilot project will be carried out in the Catholic Mercy Hospital, in Hukou, Hsinzhu, Taitung Haiduan Health Center and Taitung Dawu Health Center, where the medical resources are relatively insufficient. Far EasTone Telecommunication will set up 5G signals on the three sites, and the patients can go to the nearest place in the future. With the help of the local nursing staff for the preliminary test, physiological data and observation images can be transmitted to the specialists of a large medical center by 5G. And the specialist uses Far EasTone Telecommunication remote diagnosis service platform to carry out remote diagnosis of disease conditions, which will reduce the number of visits to and from the medical center. Taking Taitung as an example, it is estimated that more than 4 hours to and from the medical center of each visit can be reduced.
"Remote medical care lets love spread" public welfare project starts
In order to shorten the medical gap between urban and rural areas, Far EasTone Telecommunication also announced the official launch of the public welfare program of " Remote medical care lets love spread". In line with the 5G remote diagnosis and treatment foresight program, three sets of remote diagnosis and treatment facilities will be donated to Catholic Mercy Hospital, in Hukou, Hsinzhu, Taitung Haiduan Health Center and Taitung Dawu Health Center. It is estimated that millions of funds will be invested to boost the development Taiwan's medical level and moves towards the next 5G intelligent medical milestone.
