In the rural areas of East Africa, there is a lack of materials and most residents have no shoes to wear, which makes sand fleas parasitize on their skin and even endanger their lives. On January 7, SOGO volunteers took the initiative to participate in the second-hand shoe collection project of "saving lives with old shoes". They went to the Bethlehem warehouse in Taishan District, New Taipei City, to help reorganize all kinds of old shoes, clothing, bags donated by the people, and to classify and reorganize the scattered second-hand objects. In the process, volunteers also found a lot of unopened and brand-new materials. With the people's intentions, they were more motivated to do good things. They were reluctant to give up their work to rest. SOGO volunteers said that they hope to send more materials to the rural areas of East Africa as soon as possible, so that local people can get resources and medical care as soon as possible, and pass on blessings and care to the other side of the earth.
