OIT held achievement exhibition of new residents issue

        In recent years, OIT Center for General Education has actively developed the characteristics of multi domain curriculum, and won the "Project of the Ministry of Education for the Cultivation of Topic-Oriented and Interdisciplinary Narrative Power " again for its "new settlement in Taiwan for common prosperity and common good: Interdisciplinary curriculum construction by accepting different opinions". And the " southeast monsoon"" achievement exhibition was held from December 28 to 31, 2020 to show concern for new residents.

        The project is based on the "eliminating inequality" of UN SDGS development goal as the core issue. Through the co-construction of "globalization issues", "leisure English" and "clothing engineering", it guides students to pay attention to new residents and migrant workers in Taiwan society, and inspires students to care about social issues. During the activities, we cooperated with the "Nanyang Taiwan sisters Association" and "monsoon bookstore", which have long been the voice of new residents and migrant workers. With the theme of "the southeast monsoon", we helped students understand the history and culture of Southeast Asian countries in various forms, such as clothing experience, book exhibition and food tasting, which was different from traditional theoretical teaching.
