2021General Shareholders’ Meeting of Everest textile

Everest textile held the 2021 general meeting of shareholders on May 4 under the chairmanship of Johnny Shih at Tainan Labor Community Center. At the meeting, Everest textile admitted to pass the 109 annual final accounts. In 2020, the combined operating income of Everest Textile was NTD 7.343 billion, which was 17% lower than that of the previous year. It was mainly affected by COVID-19. Lockdown of cities made the decrease of the consumption, so the textile industry was seriously affected, coupled with the collapse of oil prices, inventory losses increased, and the products of the company were mainly exported, under the sustained and substantial appreciation of the New Taiwan dollar against the US dollar, it was involved in the exchange loss. Due to the above unfavorable factors, Everest textile lost 1.94 yuan per share after tax in 109. However, in the first quarter of 110, the revenue reached 2.142 billion yuan, 14.5% increase from 1.871 billion yuan in the same period of last year, turning loss into profit, and the net profit after tax was 20 million yuan.
In order to strengthen its operation, Everest textile passed a capital reduction to make up for its accumulated losses at this regular meeting of shareholders. In order to improve its financial structure and enhance its operation capacity, the regular meeting of shareholders also decided a cash capital increase plan to issue new shares of no more than 3 billion yuan.
