Far Eastern Memorial Hospital completed the task of Sanzhong Central Inspection office of New Taipei City

        In line with the epidemic prevention policy of New Taipei municipal government, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital has assisted in the opening of two "enhanced epidemic prevention special hotels" since May 28. Among them, Lin Hengfu section chief of the outpatient department of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital is the commander of the centralized quarantine office located in Sanzhong, and the surgeon of the Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) trauma team is stationed together, Provide rapid observation, tracking and recovery of patients with positive screening, mild or asymptomatic symptoms. After taking care of 210 patients for 27 days, the patient was cleared on June 29 and the task was successfully completed. Under the witness of mayor Hou Youyi of New Taipei, the hotel was restored and the team was awarded to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital.

        Lin Hengfu section chief, commander of the triple central inspection office, said that the service team has about 60 people, which is divided into three categories: medical (M team), safety (P team) and logistics (H team). An average of 12 medical staff are on duty every day and care for 210 confirmed patients. In the process, only 21 people were transferred to hospital due to changes in their condition, and the remaining 90% of the patients were successfully released from isolation, recovered well in the follow-up, and there were no readmission cases. This proves that the enhanced epidemic prevention special hotel, as the outpost of the hospital, can effectively reduce 90% of unnecessary hospitalization, retain the capacity of the medical hospital, and block the source of virus infection.

        The younger sister, who was only three years old, showed her anxiety free and even gave her the best card to the team member. The medical colleagues drew special hand-painted paintings and quoted the commander's words encouraging the team: "medical care wins in Taiwan" to unite everyone's hearts and fight the epidemic with "love".

        Commander Lin Hengfu section chief thanked the municipal government team for providing sufficient materials, the hotel industry's love for providing quarantine places, and the strong support of hospital colleagues. Lin Hengfu further shared that "using the hotel as Taiwan's" direct class "hospital may be the solution to deal with 10000 people diagnosed with covid-19 to avoid the disability of the medical system". He believed that the epidemic prevention experience of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital will become a teaching book for the future medical system.
