Far Eastern Department Store ESG Tree Planting Year First Station Launches New Hope for Planting Carbon Reduction

        Far Eastern Department Stores actively implements the ESG concept and collaborated with the New Taipei City Government's "Urban Afforestation Net Zero Sustainability" project on March 22. Nancy Hsu President planted 40 Taiwanese endemic species of Xiao Nan trees at Wensheng Elementary School in Banqiao District, launching the first year of Far Eastern Department Stores tree planting. 75 years ago, Far Eastern Group took root in Banqiao and deeply cultivated Taiwan. The first tree planting event was held at Banqiao Wensheng Elementary School, which was of special significance. Far Eastern Department Stores, with the spirit of sustainable operation, has been promoting carbon reduction measures such as energy conservation, green electricity, waste reduction, and paper-based reduction for a long time. In the future, they will gradually promote tree planting activities in other county and city bases, striving to achieve the goal of net zero carbon reduction.

        Hou Youyi, Mayor of New Taipei City, Li Wen, Director of the Agriculture Bureau of New Taipei City Government, Ding Yajun, Section Chief Secretary of the Education Bureau of New Taipei City Government, Chen Bixin, Deputy District Mayor of Banqiao District, New Taipei City, and National Farmers' Association of Banqiao District R. Chairman Guo Jinyuan of O.C., as well as Principal Shen Yufen and teachers and students of Wensheng Elementary School, all contributed to the grand event. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the founding of Wen Sheng Elementary School, the co organizer, Gu Yun, "Ten years of trees, a hundred years of people." Far Eastern Department Stores planted 40 Taiwanese Xiao Nan trees, hoping that more people will invest in talent cultivation and participate in sustainable actions. We also welcome the public to join the ranks of environmental protection and create a better life for society together.
