This project is based on the core concept of "100% THSRC Recycled", and plans to gradually replace the material of high-speed rail employee uniforms with environmentally friendly fabrics made from 100% recycled PET bottles at the station. The seat headrests, train hot drink cup covers, etc. in the carriages will also be gradually changed to plastic reducing materials. According to statistics from Taiwan's high-speed rail, this plan aims to reduce 17 metric tons of waste and nearly 48 metric tons of carbon emissions by 2024, achieving significant results.
As one of the main partners of the 'Sustainable Circulation Action', Far Eastern Apparel fully integrates Far Eastern Group's fabric recycling technology and textile production capacity, promoting the complete process of waste from recycling to regeneration. It is committed to providing recycled economy solutions for government agencies, corporate groups, and other organizations, assisting in the recycling of textile resources, and further achieving the green procurement goal of "Textile to Textile".
In addition, Far Eastern New Century Corporation's Green Materials Division also focuses on developing efficient recycled materials and providing technical support for the entire industry chain of recycled economy. The cooperation between Far Eastern New Century Corporation and Far Eastern Apparel demonstrates a good example of jointly deepening the application of textile recycling, assisting the government in promoting low-carbon and plastic reduction actions, and driving the overall sustainable transformation of the industry.
