Far Eastern New Century Corporation wins the 4th Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Award for sustainable innovation practices

        On May 9th, Far Eastern Group Enterprise Research and Development Center was awarded the "4th Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Award (Group Group)" by the Ministry of Environment for its innovative green material technology. This not only affirms the research team's long-term investment in green chemistry research and development, but also demonstrates Far Eastern New Century Corporation's key influence on sustainable transformation, especially in innovative contributions to process reduction, environmental friendliness, and recycling, which have been highly praised by the judges.

        The Far Eastern Group Enterprise Research and Development Center has introduced polyester chemical recycling technology for waste fabrics that cannot be effectively processed by traditional methods. The waste containing polyester components is decomposed and recombined into new polyester products, which not only have quality comparable to raw materials, but can also re-enter the recycling system to achieve material recycling. In addition, non isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) technology using carbon dioxide as raw material has been developed, successfully avoiding highly toxic raw materials while maintaining the elasticity and properties of traditional PU, and reducing carbon emissions by 58% compared to traditional PU, fully realizing sustainable technology for carbon capture and utilization.
