The Art Practice of Sustainable Coexistence: Yuan Ze University's Department of Art and Design Ignites Wetlands through Artistic Co Creation

        The Department of Art and Design at Yuan Ze University was invited to participate in the "2025 New Taipei Wetland Art Season - Seed Journey" organized by the New Taipei City Government. The artwork "Geometry of Seeds: Coexistence of Oppositions" was exhibited at the New Sea Phase II artificial wetland under the Banqiao Crescent Bridge, injecting cross domain innovative artistic energy into wetland spaces and showcasing the practical ability of teachers and students to combine artistic creation with environmental awareness.

        This work took several months from conception to formation. Yuan Ze University students collected over 600 PET bottles with the assistance of campus cleaning staff, and completed the complex steps of cleaning, perforation, sealing, connection, and on-site installation. The team collaborates with wetland volunteers to experience the challenges and significance of environmental art through labor and practice, transforming artistic actions into ways to understand nature.
