05.2026 Leader's Remarks
Steady movement leads to long-term success
Far Eastern International Bank / Thomas Chou Chairman

I am very pleased to gather with everyone at this joyful and confident moment, to face new challenges and opportunities together. In the past year, the external environment has changed rapidly and the financial market is highly competitive. However, thanks to your professionalism and efforts, we have been able to move forward steadily.
In the new year, first of all, we need to continue to strengthen the core strength of the bank.
Banking operations are always based on their principles, and stability is always fundamental. Whether it is capital adequacy ratio, liquidity management, asset quality, or corporate governance, these seemingly cold and rigorous indicators are not just numbers on financial statements, but the cornerstone of the long-term stable growth of banking business and the confidence of bank sustainability development. We pursue performance figures, but we cannot ignore the establishment of resilience, allowing regulatory authorities to feel at ease, customers to trust, colleagues to have a sense of security for the future, and Far Eastern International Bank to withstand market changes.
Secondly, we need to lead professionally and make truly valuable decisions.
I hope that every level of management and execution can ask themselves three more questions before making decisions: Can this decision create value? Create opportunities for the business development of Far Eastern International Bank? Does it contribute to the formation of positive forces within the organization? I firmly believe that professional leadership is not just about executing tasks, but also guiding direction and steadily advancing, enabling banks to go long, far, and right in competition.
Thirdly, we need to leverage the advantages of exquisite services and deepen our connection with customers.
The core of financial services has always been people. For Far Eastern International Bank, a medium-sized, non financial holding company, our advantage lies not in scale, but in the warmth of our services. Technology can accelerate processes, but it cannot replace effort. Service is not just about pursuing efficiency, but also about a more delicate understanding of customer needs, providing more precise and accurate financial solutions, as well as a consistent quality service experience. Customers should be able to feel the brand value of Far Eastern International Bank at every point of contact with us.
Fourthly, we need to innovate, make good use of technology, and keep pace with the great contemporary technology.

Innovation is not a slogan, nor necessarily a subversion, but the use of technology in the right places, to solve problems, enhance experiences, create differences, and assist us in entering the next stage of growth. We encourage cross departmental collaboration and human-machine collaboration to ensure that good ideas are implemented, tested, and validated in real life, allowing Far Eastern International Bank to remain resilient, agile, and competitive in a changing environment.
Fifth, and also a crucial point for the future: bank wide AI.
AI is no longer just an IT or financial thing, but a capability that every unit and every colleague can cheat on. From risk management, operational efficiency, customer analysis, marketing projects, to internal process optimization, AI will become an indispensable partner for us. The introduction of AI is not to replace humans, but to enable people to better utilize their expertise, unleash their creativity, make more accurate judgments, and do more valuable things.
Dear friends, the success of a bank is never the result of one person's intelligence, but the collective accumulation of all individuals. For me personally, this year's transition from President to Chairman was a role change and a heavier responsibility, but for Far Eastern International Bank, the long-term steady growth path is a continuation; Far Eastern International Bank has relied on stability and professionalism throughout its journey, and this core will not change. Along the way, every year has not been easy; The future is definitely full of challenges, so we need to have a clear direction, a solid foundation, and keep pace with contemporary technology. I have confidence in Far Eastern International Bank and all of you! Let's set off again with a stronger will and more surging energy!
