In 2020, I believe it will be a unforgettable memory for you who will graduate soon. The novel coronavirus pneumonia has spread rapidly in the world since the beginning of the year. Not only the economic activities of various countries have stopped, but also the lifestyle that is used to life has been forced to readjust. Covid-19 This wave of outbreaks has suddenly disrupted the global order, and the war between humans and viruses may form a new normal, which has become an important issue that we must pay attention to for a long time. In fact, in the coming decades, the world will show different features, such as the slowing down and aging of population growth, the rising awareness of climate change and environmental protection, the dependence of economic growth on new driving forces, the transformation of social structure and life style, and the continuous innovation and breakthrough of emerging science and technology. All these trends change too much and too fast for everyone to grasp.
On the other hand, with the global flow of talents, funds and commodities, as well as the development of Internet and communication technology, information can be exchanged more quickly around the world, breaking the limitation of physical geographical boundaries, time and distance, and promoting the global connection more and more closely. In this new economic era, you will face faster changes and stronger connections. You are about to graduate and enter the society. In the future, you may not work in the same way as before. For example, the popularization and application of artificial intelligence will replace many existing occupations, but at the same time, it will also let human beings get rid of simple, calculative and repetitive work, put their heart into solving problems and nurturing new ideas, so as to create greater value. In addition, all walks of life will face different competition modes in the future, such as Uber's impact on the taxi industry, airbnb's fight for the hotel chain market, Facebook and Apple's technology companies' food banking financial business, etc. if we continue to view the competition from the traditional perspective, it will be easy to ignore the real threat and miss the potential blue ocean business opportunities. However, in the future, the transformation of work mode and competition mode is not only a crisis but also an opportunity. Depending on how you break the framework and think about it, analyze it from the perspective of new economy, turn the crisis into a turning point, and seize the opportunity to create a new situation.
If you want to be successful in the new economic era, first of all, you need to show the agility of rapid response. From now on, we should always be self vigilant. When knowledge and skills fall behind, we should improve our strength as soon as possible. When development falls into difficulties, we should speed up transformation and breakthrough. The most important thing is that we should not be complacent and stagnant after achieving successful achievements, but plan the next step carefully and look far ahead to pursue a better tomorrow than today. Secondly, we should cultivate the continuous and advanced leap thinking. During your study at Yuan Ze University, you have fully learned and believed that you have also deeply rooted in the innovation gene. When you enter the society or the workplace, you must actively establish core competence, expand your various skills, and constantly stride into the new knowledge field, so as to ensure the leading advantage and not be eliminated in the fierce competition.
