FET, Delta and Microsoft show cross border synergy to build the first 5G smart factory in Taiwan

        Far EasTone Telecommunication announced on December 25, 2020 that it will join hands with Delta Electronics, Inc. and Microsoft Taiwan to build the first 5G smart factory. The production line of Guishan plant in Taoyuan will introduce advanced applications such as 5G private network, AMR autonomous mobile robot, AOI defect detection data analysis, Microsoft cloud computing, hybrid reality, etc., and it is expected to publicly display 5G smart commercial production line in February 2021. The gathering of the top three integrates advantages, shows cross-border synergy, and drives the industry into a new era of 5G.

        5G intelligent commercial production line is built with 5G enterprise private network with high reliability, high coverage and high customization, delta AMR autonomous mobile robot exchanges data with the management platform through 5G low latency, make the man-machine collaborative work intelligent in the production process, which greatly reduces production hours, and timely sends instructions according to monitoring information, effectively improves production capacity and meets the production demand of a small number of diverse and high-frequency line changing.

        AOI flaw detection data analysis is also a highlight of the 5G smart commercial production line. Through 5G real-time transmission of large amount of high-resolution data generated in the process detection, big data analysis can be carried out to quickly adjust the process remotely, which can immediately report to the audit, reduce the labor cost, and help to improve the detection accuracy, excellent and good rate and production capacity.

        Microsoft HoloLens mixed reality and IOT Digital Twins are also introduced into the production line. The output signals of multi device are connected with 5G. Through intelligent spatial technology, 3D visualization modeling is established to fully visualize the device information and achieve 5G MR remote plant management, maintenance and monitoring, accelerate personnel training, accumulate experience inheritance. In addition, remote production line inspection can also reduce manual operation and maintenance.
