Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) volunteers in the epidemic
Oriental Petrochemical (Shanghai) Corporation / huangchangning
From March, 2022, an epidemic "late spring cold" swept through Shanghai. The "pause" button was pressed in daily life, and the workplaces and living communities were sealed off and managed one after another. With the "epidemic" of the war, the colleagues of Oriental Petrochemical (Shanghai) Corporation, apart from working at home, quickly took action to help fight the epidemic and go to every place in need.
With the resurgence of the epidemic, huangchengjun, hushancheng, Ma Qingchun, wangxiaoran, etc., these Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) colleagues with many years of work experience, chose to fight at the first time, reported to the residents' committees of their communities and became anti epidemic volunteers in accordance with the principle of "being nearby and on the spot". At ordinary times, they are the elites in the workplace and strive for their jobs; During the epidemic, they were the most beautiful rebels. They devoted themselves to the epidemic prevention activities in the community, fulfilled their commitments and set an example with practical actions, and became the Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) force in the "Shanghai" war.
The community volunteer work undertaken by volunteers is cumbersome and complex. In addition to cooperating with the residents' committee to maintain order, organize nucleic acid (or antigen) detection, unload and distribute living materials, go out to assist in dispensing drugs, help the orphaned and elderly, and organize group purchase, they also need to communicate with residents, persuade and coordinate to solve various problems. The residents are hard to adjust, and sometimes their efforts are thankless. As volunteers, they still need to respond quickly and help everyone with smiles, words and actions. A warm greeting, a kind smiling face and a friendly gesture can often make residents who have been closed for a long time feel warm. In this special period, many residents sincerely thank volunteers for their hard work.
On several occasions, volunteers have to prepare in advance to help maintain order at the scene, or scan the code, or "break the stick" (note), or help the elderly to register the nucleic acid code. They were calm, guided the residents to keep a distance and queue up orderly, and promptly handled the emergencies on the scene until the next morning. Mr. Ma Qingchun also shared the nucleic acid detection precautions he summarized with the neighbors of the same building. The residents got to know each other because of the epidemic. Instead, they became more united and reminded each other, just like a big family. After all, only when everyone is safe can they be unsealed as soon as possible!
Helping the elderly to dispense medicine is the most difficult and time-consuming task in volunteer work! The requirements of each elderly person are different. Some people need to prepare 6-7 kinds of drugs. They must first register, make a summary table, and then take their medical insurance card and empty medicine box, open a door pass, and drive to the hospital by themselves! Because the hospitals are all volunteers who come to prescribe medicine, and each person has dozens of medical insurance cards in his hands. As soon as he lines up, he is in the morning. At noon, he doesn't bother to eat. Sometimes it takes a whole day to finish dispensing medicine. Volunteers advance money first, and then distribute and collect money when they come back. It's very tedious. If they can't get it right, they still complain and even subsidize their own money. For example, if the name or origin of the medicine is wrong, some elderly people dare not ask for it and can't return it. Huangchengjun, a volunteer of Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan), is the general coordinator of dispensing in the community epidemic prevention management team. He wins time and completes all the work successfully.
During the period of closure and control, there were many emergencies every day, sometimes erysipelas attacks in the legs of orphans and elderly people, sometimes oral inflammation caused by wisdom teeth of adolescent students, and also sudden acute gastroenteritis, anxiety, depression, and even "milk blockage" of mothers in childbirth. The volunteer service team can always quickly integrate community resources to meet various needs, bringing peace of mind and sureness to the neighbors.
In this epidemic, volunteers of Oriental Petrochemical (Taiwan) were brave to give and helped fight the epidemic with their meagre efforts. They also infected their neighbors. Some volunteers took the initiative to join the ranks of volunteers; Some residents originally resisted the epidemic prevention policy, but were also influenced by the love of volunteers to take the initiative to cooperate; Some people avoid doing nucleic acid detection because it takes too long. However, as volunteers straighten out the process, it only takes half the original time to do nucleic acid once, and it can also avoid the problem of cluster infection, many people are gradually willing to do it. The epidemic has brought the hearts of neighbors closer, and love has made Shanghai more cohesive. This includes the contribution of far Easterner, which is like a glimmer of love and hope.
The epidemic is not over yet, and volunteer work continues
