Cheer up with love, SOGO volunteers participated in basketball competition with intelligent disabled students

        On October 26, 2019, the Syin-lu Social Welfare Foundation held the 9th basketball competition activity, inviting the mentally disabled people to participate in. SOGO volunteers especially accompanied the mentally disabled of Happy Mount Colony to participate in the competition and acted as the most enthusiastic cheerleader to help them increase their life experience and challenge themselves.

        The purpose of this event is to support the mentally disabled to integrate into society and appeal to help the mentally disabled to co-exist with the public. Most of people in Happy Mount Colony are mentally or physically handicapped. When they participate in many activities, they need to be cared by others. SOGO volunteers served as the competition guide on that day. They guided the venue one to one, cheer up for the participants, chat and interact with each other in free time to eliminate the tension of the competition, which fully practice the concept of "supporting the disabled to integrate into the society". The social workers of Happy Mount Colony said that the competition went smoothly because of the company and encouragement of SOGO volunteers, which made the students have a happy day!
