On September 7th, FE SOGO Department stores and Pacific SOGO Social Welfare Foundation commended the 12th "SO GOOD Good Children and Youth Role Models" with the theme of "The Light in Me", rewarding 24 students from all over Taiwan who have faced adversity but still remain positive. Among them, Wang Boquan, the optimistic and enterprising Bubble Dragon boy, Shi Qinghe, who demonstrated resilience and emerged from a paralyzed life, and Jin Long, the hardworking son of New Taiwan who practiced taekwondo, won the special award from the judging panel with an indomitable spirit of life.
FE SOGO Department stores has long been committed to child care and organized the only child equality model selection in Taiwan's department stores. Over the years, they have awarded 337 young role models and produced 53 winners of the Presidential Education Award. FE SOGO Department stores and Sophia C.W. Huang Chair of the Pacific SOGO Social Welfare Foundation use recent gender controversies as an example to share how "unconscious bias" often affects people's way of viewing the world. FE SOGO Department stores have turned popularity into a bridge for M-shaped social dialogue, and have been praising young role models for 12 years. Through different inspirational stories, they advocate for children's equality and DEI (Diversity, Equality, Inclusion), encourage the use of personal traits as a force to break through barriers, and learn to use an inclusive perspective to break down inequality.
