Far Eastern New Century Corporation has won two awards, the 22nd National Innovation Award and the 2025 National Innovation Excellence Award

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation's Research and Development Center has achieved great success in innovative research and development. On December 17, 2025, it was awarded the "22nd National Innovation Award" and the "2025 National Innovation Excellence Award" for its "Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer (rTPEE)" and "Textile Recycling ChemCycle Recycling Technology" respectively, demonstrating its outstanding innovative position in the fields of recycled economy and green materials.

        Far Eastern New Century Corporation aims to develop rTPEE made from recycled polyester with the goal of "single polyester, recyclable". It uses recycled PET bottles as raw materials to replace non polyester components in shoe materials and textiles, making the product a fully polyester material. After being discarded, it can be directly chemically recycled into polyester and then used to make new clothing and shoe materials, achieving circular recycling. RTPEE not only reduces carbon emissions and waste, but also enhances the added value of recycled materials, assisting brand owners in achieving net zero carbon reduction goals. Far Eastern New Century Corporation has teamed up with French brand Salomon to launch the world's first upstream shoe with a rTPEE midsole, successfully commercializing it and embarking on a new journey in sustainable materials.

        The addition of BHET process to the ChemCycle recycling technology for textile regeneration can avoid high energy consumption and cumbersome purification steps, successfully solving the problem of waste by-products in the original process. The new product rBHET monomer (bis (2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate) can be directly polymerized into rPET and has the potential to develop multi-component high-value materials. Compared with traditional petrochemical PET, the rPET produced by this technology can reduce carbon emissions by up to 23% and has obtained a Taiwanese invention patent. The company has currently expanded its trial production line and collaborated with multiple brands to verify the feasibility of recycling various polyester waste materials, and the quality meets the application needs of end customers. Far Eastern New Century Corporation will actively apply for patents in multiple countries and build a complete intellectual property protection network in the future.
