【 One 】
As a mother, daughter, workplace worker, and wife, I transition between different roles every day. In addition to visiting elders and picking up children in the morning and evening, I also strive to maintain a balance between busy work and household chores. At the moment when the night is quiet, I finally have my own fragment of time.
At this moment, I like to put on headphones and listen to podcasts sharing stories about life, growth, or parenting education; Sometimes I also read books on the sofa, letting other people's stories unfold in my ears or in front of me. This brings me the power of tranquility, allowing my soul to return to peace, and also allowing myself to be gently embraced by life, repairing my tired heart. Then in the early morning of the next day, while preparing breakfast, I shared the bits and pieces of life with my child and hugged them at the school gate, telling each other to keep up the good work! The busyness of the day slowly fades away after nightfall, and after dinner every day, I stroll along the riverbank near my home. With a slight coolness in the evening breeze, it blows away the accumulated fatigue and irritability of the day, which is my healing time. Choosing to move forward with both feet is not only for relaxing the body and mind, but also a gentle and firm choice towards the environment, allowing the city to slowly absorb in a low-carbon and calm rhythm.
Walking slowly along the riverbank, the light and shadow of streetlights and moonlight reflected on the river surface, gently swaying with the water waves, as if reminding me that life can actually be simpler and reduce unnecessary impatience. Passing by are people walking their dogs and children riding bicycles, maintaining distance and sharing space, interweaving into a quiet and harmonious night scene. In this period of my own time, I slowed down my pace, allowing my chaotic thoughts to gradually return to their original state, and also allowing my body, mind, and environment to move towards a more balanced state together. In a busy life, even if it's just a skit on the internet, let laughter dilute the fatigue of the whole day; Or playing with the cat at home, watching its coquettish and playful appearance, can always make people unconsciously slow down their pace. On holidays, I like to go out for a walk with my significant other. Whether it's shopping, strolling, or just having a casual drink, it can soften my mood. Occasionally, looking at the street view and feeling the warmth of the wind alone is also a kind of peaceful happiness. Every night when I open my gratitude diary, I will first write down three things I am grateful for today, such as being lucky enough to have a seat on the bus or eating delicious fruits of the season. While writing down these things, a sense of happiness slowly rises in my heart. Next, I will write down the tasks I completed today, such as running for only 20 minutes as originally planned, but doing an extra 300 jump ropes. Apart from feeling a sense of achievement, I also feel that I am getting healthier and healthier. In Chapter 46 of Laozi's "Tao Te Ching," it is said, "There is no greater calamity than dissatisfaction, and no greater fault than desire. Therefore, contentment is always enough." Every time I ride my scooter and put on my helmet, the world seems to become simpler. Turning the key and listening to the sound of the engine, I felt a sense of peace in my heart. Gently turning the accelerator, the car smoothly slid out, and the wind blew towards my chest and face, as if any worries could be dispelled.
I don't go very far, I just like to ride slowly on country roads or by the river. Empty your head and watch as the sky gradually darkens and the street lamps light up one by one. Riding to an empty place, stopping the car, listening to the sound of the wind and the chirping of insects, feeling the tranquility deep inside, the relaxation of that moment cannot be described by words. Busy daily life, holidays become one of the few moments to slow down. Every weekend, I schedule a piano class where I sit in front of the keys, starting with Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, allowing my mood to settle bit by bit with the notes. Focusing on playing in the present moment seems to temporarily let go of the worries of life. Although the process of practicing the piano is not always smooth sailing, sometimes repeatedly practicing but not playing well, inevitably feeling frustrated. However, as the melody gradually took shape and I could even play my favorite songs, that sense of achievement helped me regain my confidence. Returning home from work and preparing a nutritious and delicious dinner for my family has become my healing time unconsciously. From purchasing ingredients, washing rice and cooking rice, cutting vegetables and peeling garlic... in the process of cooking, in addition to moving hands and listening ears, one also needs to keep their eyes on the fire on the stove, and think about the order of the next dish in their mind. Unconsciously, they have let go of the pressure and worries in their work. After the finished products are served one by one, the family sits around the table, chatting about today's daily life and tasting home cooked dishes. After running, I sat with my son under the shade of a tree, chatting about his school life and sharing my past experiences. Then, we rode happily home together and welcomed each new day. Watching others cook slowly feels very relaxing, and when I have free time, I can do it together and feel a sense of achievement; Or enjoy the unboxing of web celebrities and experience the surprises brought by new products together; Some videos share tips for organizing, which can help transform the home environment...
