Planting Trees in Far Eastern Department Stores for Sustainable Green Living

        The Far Eastern Department Stores ESG Tree Planting Campaign has entered its third year. On March 13th, Nancy Hsu President led a management team to Xingang Elementary School in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, inviting County Magistrate Yang Wenke and his team, school teachers and students, and community representatives to jointly organize the "Standing Up and Planting Small Trees for Sustainable Assistance" tree planting activity, planting 50 seedlings of Taiwan's native plants such as tassel, maple, and peach blossom.

        On March 14th, Zhubei Store participated in the "Rooting in Place, Resilient Forest Life" tree planting activity organized by the Hsinchu County Government and the Hsinchu Branch of the Forestry Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture. They planted hope saplings in Guangxing Park, Xinfeng Township. On March 15th, they also held the "Take Away Your Little saplings" activity with the Ministry of Agriculture, inviting people to donate invoices and exchange them for native Taiwanese saplings, encouraging people to get close to nature in their daily lives, and turning every invoice into a force to protect the environment.

        The Chiayi store also launched the "Bring Home Public Welfare saplings" activity from March 11th to 17th. People can exchange a pot of saplings for three designated monthly paper invoices or donate two second-hand children's books, in order to cultivate environmental awareness of caring for nature.

        Coincidentally, on March 21st, Far Eastern Department Stores in Tainan participated in the "Add Trees, Achieve Zero Power" tree planting activity organized by the Chiayi Branch of the Forestry and Conservation Department. Colleagues planted native saplings from Taiwan, demonstrating the company's determination to implement net zero emissions.

        On March 14-15, Taichung City Far Eastern Department Stores will launch a series of Arbor Day themed activities, including: a limited edition children's story house for Arbor Day, a donation invoice for succulent public welfare activities, and donating all collected invoices to the Maria Social Welfare Foundation, spreading the power of love and environmental protection.
